Forget the fact that he carries himself like an MJ level douchebag despite being the homeless man's version. Rather, it'll never not be funny when people just blindly assume we'd win the championship anyways with Jimmy in place of Khris in the year where he got outplayed by Bryn **** Forbes in a playoff series.

The Butler/Giannis stuff was always crazy.

Put a guy who absolutely needs the ball and can't shoot next to a guy who absolutely needs the ball and can't shoot.

Brilliant.

Much of this fanbase isn't going to appreciate Middleton until he's gone and retired, which is sad.

I still remember the "Middleton doesn't shoot enough" days on this board after we first got him.

We don't even make it to the Finals in 2021 without Mid, let alone win it all.

don't really understand this middleton hate. the bucks staff is notorious for taking time with players. Member when Brook lopez was supposed to be back "soon" a few years ago and he sat for 70 games only to return for like the final 15 games. this training staff and the organization will not let players come back unless they are 100% in the regular season. just get everyone to the playoffs healthy.

Was trying to find the Giannis warmup footage and came across this video most likely stollen from TikTok. Basically says what a couple guys here was saying. I remember Khris was dealing with this earlier in the season and came out of a game and I thought he was done for, only to come back a game or two later. Obviously with Giannis, his play style makes you really worried with these lower body injuries.

I stated last week that the Bucks can't win a championship without KM and with him, if he's at the level he was at starting the season, I think they are as good as anyone.

Two other things:

1) Trading him never made sense, but I put this in the same category as 90% of the proposals on here.

2) This recent ankle injury is concerning only to the extent that it wasn't defined as a high ankle sprain and yet he has been out a month. And while he's valuable even if he's out till the playoffs, there is something to be said for having 18 games to get in sync. He is on the trip , so I assume he will play some of the games.

khris is my absolute man but i think jimmy butler was once on the table when he was in minny.

assuming butler would have been coming and staying that would have been cool in retrospect

Giannis said no. Lockerroom may have imploded too. Seems to happen everywhere he goes. Even Miami.

im perfectly ok we didnt do that trade and argued against it at the time for the exact reasons you just made..... but... in retrospect... jimmy has been next level. it makes you wonder if hed been around and if we could have held it together

if youre referring to me i just posted that i was against that deal and...again... i dont disagree with you either. trading for butler could have been lethal to us and not in a good way.

my main point was simply as it relates to value. we had guys wanting youth or diwiddies or bojans and crap like that for mids. deals that were atrocious on paper. say what you want to about butlers fit and attitude but at least the value would have been a semblance of right. hes the only guy ive ever heard mentioned that i even had to at least consider

anyway... glad we kept him. hes my favorite buck alltime as an adult. only the guys from the 80s that i view with childhood rose colored glasses compete with him. i cant wait for listening to giannis present him when his jersey gets retired. i envision it as an iconic and emotional moment like no other if youre a fan of this team

I'd still rest him out of precaution, but that certainly eases some of the concern.

Expecting Giannis to be out for near a month because he didn't feel great during a warmup is so RealGM  Yall stress yourselves out. Figured there was a 50/50 chance he plays tonight and looks like I'm right

I'd do whatever the medical staff that gets paid the big bucks advises.

I agree with you to a point. But watching the videos of him warming up Monday night he was in some real pain. It didn't look good at all.

I just saw that video this afternoon. It was worry inducing.

Ya it sure did kinda surprised me watching it. One thing Giannis is a very fast healer so I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays tonight.

While it's not a good look, it's also Giannis. He might get random pains all the time that we never see. He's the franchise though, I get it.
