Need more players, Rolling Mini Ham out was certainly a choice to guard their best player. Freeman was not good last night and they shoulda rolled without him on the floor. He always presses when hes had a crappy game and never adjusts to be a playmaker. Talk is hes going to try to transfer up, which on first glance seems tough but they actually had a better winning percentage vs peer comp without him this year. Most frustrating player ive watched as a UWM fan. Still had a good time being center court first row both nights for 30 bucks. Hard to beat that value.

Too bad. I was hoping Michigan would keep him so that he could continue to steer that program off a cliff.

Still can't believe he conned an organization into drafting his crappy son in the lottery. Have fun being an assistant coach for some mid-major the rest of your career, loser.

He could probably find his way back into the NBA as an assistant and just ride it out there. I'm sure he has/had career aspirations, but he also has enough money probably to not care that much.

I went back and found a few threads where I was a visionary* and was talking about how **** the defense looked under Howard in his first season like a true Eric The Red.

* - I then retracted this take for like 3 years

Ha right. With all his baggage and stuff that happened as coach at MI I'd guess he ends up an assistant in the nba. Sure college has essentially turned into pro ball now but the 'coaching/mentoring kids' pr spin of college should have him nowhere near them. and then with how stupid nba coaching hiring is he'll probably end up getting a head job at some point, mostly being sarcastic there...

ETA: I guess he's rich too so doesn't have to take a bad job either.

Virginia, Indiana State, probably some of the Big East teams, Sparty all may be kicked out on this insane bid stealing run.

Not sure what my favorite story from today is

-NC State winning the ACC
-Temple going 5-13 in conference but making it to their conference title game while being investigated for point shaving
-Long Beach St firing their coach on Monday, but him deciding to still coach the conference tourney and they go and punch their ticket to the big dance
-3 of the 4 projected 1 seeds losing

Some very fun moments today

Florida's center just snapped his leg a little above the ankle during the SEC championship. Won't be posting it, but you know where to find it if you wanna see it. Blood on the court, stretchered off. Nothing particularly difficult about the landing - just a freak accident.

This one is awesome. Kinda want them to win a couple just to see what happens.

Don't understand why these salty bubble teams are declining the NIT.

They get a head start in the transfer portal. That's the majority of the reason.

Also related - similar to lesser bowl games now, these bigger name schools actually have 1-2 NBA draft freshmen/sophomores that will probably bail and 2-3 other guys in their rotation that will hit the portal because they don't care about the NIT. So they may be a skeleton crew.
