It will be interesting how they handle such lofty preseason expectations. A high seed and deep run is going to be expected.

Absolutely. I've seen plenty of Final Four or National Championship talk around this squad. We'll see if they live up to the hype

Quality win on the road against a ranked opponent. Funny this was on right after the Badgers game. Such a contrast. Marquette is fun to watch.

Great win over UCLA. Now have to play #1 Kansas less than 24 hours later. KU got the easy draw, trouncing Chaminade. DWade is with the team in Hawaii. If they get by Kansas they'd face the winner of #2 Purdue/#7 Tennessee. Yikes.

Marq continues to refuse to attack in transition with numbers out of their defense and its maddening. They ball stop and wait to set up an ineffective half court offense against a set defense. This team should be boat racing good teams with their defense. They are going to be bounced early in the tourney again because they just dont have the offensive talent or athleticism to score on a set defense in the half court vs the top teams in the country.

Very good half by Marquette. I don't recall seeing 2 coaches go at it like that, both getting T's. Shaka had to be restrained lol.

Stacked field, winner gets #2 Purdue tomorrow night

Complete domination over #1. This game started at 6:00 local time and now they go B2B2B at noon local time tomorrow against #2

Yea, it's wild they have such a quick turn around. Why wouldn't they put the Championship game in prime time?

Man today is an insane day for basketball

Marquette vs #2 Purdue for the Maui Championship
Bucks at Celtics
Wisconsin vs SMU for the Ft Myers Championship

All pretty spaced out timing wise too

I'm guessing Bucks/Celtics is the priority and they didn't want it on ESPN2 competing with that game.

Damn that Zach Edey for Purdue is a giant on the floor. Looks like an adult playing with a bunch of kids at 7 foot 4.

Sending the hard double on Edey on these catches this second half has changed this game.
