How much money did he leave on the table by signing now instead of next summer?

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

We have talked tremendous amounts of **** about Horst. There’s a real chance he’s the best GM in basketball. He makes Hammond look like a child.

I'm having a dreadful Monday and took a break before signing back into work, I'm suddenly not as upset about the workload.

Thank you Giannis, the mfn gift that keeps on giving.

Technically like $60M or so more guaranteed if he waited to extend until next offseason because he could have signed a four year extension instead of three years.

Realistically, he gets to his player option year sooner this way and that allows him to potentially make more over the course of his career.

Plus he just guaranteed himself another $186M in the bank, no matter what. As James Harden and DeMarcus Cousins will tell you, sign that max extension when it is on the table, period.

But but but, HaMmOnD DrAfTeD GiAnNiS!

Even though he first tried to trade the pick for a Josh Smith two month rental and only pulled the trigger on Giannis because Larry Drew told him the Hawks were picking him immediately after the Bucks pick. And then Hammond only gave Giannis the four year extension because he was saving the five year one for Jabari Parker.

It’s the most they could give him right now. Player option at the end so he can opt out and sign a bigger deal.

I realize this is a Bucks board, but Robin Yount would be up there too.

Again. He’s done this twice now.

Almost like Horst let him know if he said he might not extend it makes it easier for the Bucks to make trades to better the team…

I could easily see the date of this segment being 10/23 with Windhorst talking about Giannis' next contract.

Giannis is a treasure, every year we get to root for him should be treated as such
