I actually wanted to respond to your trade board idea with OKC and Mem, but swapping Mem with CHI and getting your thoughts.

Mke: Caruso, jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams

Spoiler:
We get an elite perimeter defender in Caruso, a small ball 4 in Kenrich, and a younger more mobile big in jaylin.

Okc: Patrick williams, Bobby

Spoiler:
OKC gets two players who would fit alongside Chet. PW is a combo forward, and Bobby a combo big. This gives them solid perimeter spacing to add to their front court, and helps them make a push this year with better fitting pieces while still having an eye for the future.

Chi: giddey, marjon, pat, ‘24 Hou 1st, ‘25 PHI 1st, ‘24 Por 2nd

Spoiler:
Chi cashes out. They get two young players, two firsts, and a high second.

OKC doesn't need to send out actual talent, they can just deal Bertans and any of their hundreds of picks to acquire anyone they want.

You may be right, but this trade was a modification of a proposal from an OKC fan where they wanted to give up:

Giddey + Poku + 1st and a 2nd for Patrick williams + Drummond.

I’m replacing Drummond with Bobby who would be a better fit for them. I’m then bumping that 2nd into another first and Kenrich. That may be too much, though, and just one OKC fan perspective.

In that case, maybe something closer to RiotPunch’s original proposal:

Mke: Caruso, Jevon, jaylin Williams

Chi: Bertans, marjon, ‘24 Houston 1st, ‘24 por 2nd

Okc: Bobby, Pat

Might work but thats a steal for GSW. No.

Couldn't agree more. Close outs are awful, and we need someone, anyone to move their feet and stay in front of their guy! :banghead:

Seems weird a game after Middleton stayed in front of Tatum.

Maybe he reads RealGM.

Dumb question, but since our pick this year is a swap with NOP, does that mean we get to keep it if it’s worse than their pick? Two draft picks would be pretty cool even if they’re in the 30-35 range.

You guys are lost on that one.

Certain people want to trade Bobby Portis and certain people want PJ Tucker back and certain people want Norman Powell and certain people want to get rid of Patty C and certain people want to get rid of Malik Beasley. Seems like those certain people could come up with a trade that would certainly net what they want.

Orlando needs a shooter. GSW wants a 7' scorer. Portland wants 2 1sts for Grant.

Orlando in: Beasley, Portland 2024 2nd
Orlando out: Goga Bodadze, Denver 2025 1st

GSW in: Brolo, Rolo
GSW out: Wiggins, 2026 1st

Portland in: Wiggins, GSW 2026 1st, Denver 2025 1st
Portland out: Grant, 2- 2028 2nds

Jazz in: 2- 2028 2nds
Jazz out: Kris Dunn

Bucks in: Grant, Dunn, Goga
Bucks out: Brolo, Rolo, Beasley, Portland 2024 2nd

Bucks are now incredibly versatile defensively, and have a great closing lineup.

I think it's pretty even if you consider Green the best player in the deal.

In a perfect Bucks fan world this trade expands to 4 teams with Payton II going to Was for Wright and you add in Connington and R. Lopez to Portland w/2nd for Thybulle. Now the trade looks like:

Bucks - In - Green, Wright, and Thybulle

GSW - In - Lopez, Payne, and Beauchamp

Was - In - Payton II and Mil's 2nd

Por - In - Connaughton, Lopez, and GSW's 2nd

This trade is too big to happen and I don't see GSW or MIl wanting to trade Green or Lopez but I think it makes sense for both teams. It gets GSW the big they want while still having capital to get Pascall or Grant. If they wanted Grant over Pascall Portland could add Grant to the above deal and GSW would add Paul and Kuminga and 1st but keep Payton. Pat would go to Washington instead of Portland.

GSW comes away with Grant, Lopez, Payne, and Beauchamp for Green, Paul, and Kuminga

Reddish remains a marginal player. The shine wears off pretty quick.

Strange to think POR hasn’t had a starting quality sf since around 2015.

I actually said I thought Lillard might end up in MIL but the MIL assets didn’t make sense.

Yeah, don't think OKC sells that low on Giddey. I like the premise, though, if Chicago is willing to trade Caruso and OKC pays the necessary picks for Bobby. Obviously love Jaylin as a Bobby replacement.

Giannis is too emotional connected with Khris. That makes him almost untradeable .... unless we get KD. Rearranging the roster to become a serious contender again is like unbuttoning your shirt ... one button at a time and in a specific order ... Jrue was the 1st button after getting humiliated by Jimmy while shooting 1/8 3s in our knock out game. Bud was responsible too, button No2. Now its Brook's turn. We only paid him in order to keep the salary spot since we were already capped out. Portis and Giannis can eat all the minutes at the 5.
Draft picks: '15 Jerian Grant, '16 Thon Maker, '17 Isaiah Hartenstein/*John Collins, '18 TD Devonte Graham, Hamidou Diallo, '20 Sam Merrill, Killian Tillie, '21 Joe Wieskamp, '22 TU C.Braun/G.Procida '23 Tristan Vukcevic/Maxwell Lewis
