Game 22: Pacers vs. Bucks - 12/7/23 - 4:00 - ESPN

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Wed Dec 6, 2023 7:22 pm

The always fun weekday afternoon game. Feels like March Madness in December.

Expect a track meet. Bucks lost by 2 to Indy last month. Giannis had 54 (and 2 bad turnovers in the final minute). Dame did not play in this one.

I like this Indy team. But not for this game. Bucks open as 4.5 point favorites, the O/U is 254.

Go Bucks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't get why the NBA promoted the crap out of this tournament and then when the neutral site games start they time it so none will watch the 1st game.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

At least I can rest easy knowing our wholesome Giannis doesn't get in that mess

It's even a weird time for those excited to blow off work. I could see myself blocking off my calendar and watching it at my home office but:
1. They announced it pretty late so I'm going have to cut a meeting off early
2. Its at a time where people have to leave work/pick up kids/get dinner

Next year Just Make it a Saturday/Monday/Tuesday.
2 Semis on Saturday
3rd place game Monday night (Competes with MNF but can't have it all)
Championship on Tuesday night

A game the bucks very easily should of won 9 point lead with what like 4 mins left.

Stuff like what happened in Vegas today can be discussed on the Current Affairs board. If it changes anything for the games tomorrow we'll discuss that aspect of it. Thx.

even if it wasn't supposed to be a bigger than normal game

a 4PM tip on a Thursday is a truly deranged decision

Clearly want to allow our European friends a chance to watch a meaningful game live on a weekday/night.

So the NBA wants to avoid NFL. Why does it need to tip at 4 and not 430?

Then they start the second game so it ends right when TNF ends. Some really dumb **** there.

They aren't really avoiding football. The second game goes against the NFL. I don't think they want the second game starting later than 9:00 on the EC. They need to allow for overtime and to give the second game teams plenty of time to warmup. Four hours is about right. 4:30 would have probably been doable. Wednesday/Friday instead of Thursday/Saturday would have avoided conflicts but they want the final on Saturday night, with no sports competition.

i'm so jealous of everyone on that team right now. they get to go hang with Giannis on his birthday with 7, 8 and 9 figure bank account accommodations.

Nothing says important tournament like one of the Final Four games being played at 4 pm on a Thursday afternoon.

I’ve been down on the team, but went ahead with it because the vibes I saw surrounding the team yesterday were next level. Might have been because the stanchion was blocking AG from my line of sight.
