Game 29: Bucks at Knicks - 12/23/23 - 11:30 - NBATV/BSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Dec 22, 2023 5:11 pm

First of 2 morning games in NY. We play them 5 times this season. Twice already, both at home. A 110-105 win (Dame had 30, Brook had 8 blocks) in early November (tourney opener) and a 146-122 win in an early December tournament quarterfinal game (Giannis 35, Dame 28, Beas 18). Bucks shot 60.5% from deep (23-38). Bucks led by 3 at half, then crushed them in the second half.

It will be tough to be them 2 straight but we're playing pretty well. Giannis' foot seemed fine against Orlando and he took a shot in the ribs. Payne seemed to twist his knee but stayed in the game. We'll see what the initial injury report looks like later Friday.

Go Bucks.

Time to start piling up some road wins to legitimize the record. I love the smell of MSG in the morning. Smells like victory.

That's why I think the IST groups should just be the divisions. If you have to have extra games against a team, why not make it a divisional game and fuel the rivalries. Worked with the Pacers. Make the divisions actually mean something/more.

Anywho, both games are very winnable against the Knicks! Hopefully, the Bucks throw down on X-mas. I hope Pat can hit his open 3's. Somehow they also gotta try to stop fastbreaks... everyone's been saying it. Bucks can score easily many times but then the other team just lays it in within seconds on the other end.

I predict the Bucks are going to beat the Knicks 9 times this season (playoffs included).

Going to be in NYC for holidays, was looking at three (!) Bucks games there this week, between the two vs Knicks and one at Nets. But tix are so expensive, man. A couple weeks ago the cheapest on Stubhub were like $300 for any of the games. I just looked again at the Nets game and there are upper bowl seats now for $150-$175. Do I figure they'll go down further over the next few days? what do you all think?

I’d be fine with cam sitting out a couple games. Shooting numbers have taken a dive.

I actually love this schedule from a Players perspective. They get to stay in New York from the 23rd to the 27th. And the morning games means they get basically 2 off days and 2 full afternoons of family time for this holiday week.

A true little vacation for them all to spend with family.

Like think about Christmas Day, they'll get done about 330 pm/4pm and get all xmas evening with family plus all of the 26th since they dont play in brooklyn till late 27th.

A really nice xmas schedule imo

Agreed, it's nice they get to stay in one place. All family members are going to be on the trip. Hopefully take care of business.

Imagine this schedule and the media coverage of Giannis’ week in NY had he not signed the extension this offseason.

I'm not sure if Chad is greek but early tip offs are confusing as **** for us. They put those games in most schedules around the web in the previous day for us because the games begin in the afternoon instead of the usual post midnight hour of the next day. :D

The Knicks are 7-3 at home and are actually better without Mitch. Especially against us because Mitch allowed Lopez to camp in paint.

But early game so who knows .
