Game 34: Bucks at Pacers - 1/3/24 - 6:00 - BSWI - Middleton Questionable, Green Out , Pat questionable

This is the first of a B2B (at Spurs Thursday) and 3/4. Normally it would be a no brainer to rest Khris (and anyone else who needs it) Thursday against the Spurs. But that's a TNT game and there is the edict of not resting guys for national games. But I guess it's easy enough to say "sore knee/ankle or whatever" to do that. You certainly don't sit anyone for this game.

Go Bucks.

The only question for me is will the Bucks continue to go over screens on 9% 3p shooter TJ McJordan.

I'd like the Bucks to shove a big L down the Pacers throats and not have to see them again until November.

We need Dame to step it up this game. Also, would be nice to play AJJ for 10-15 minutes.

I have tickets to the Spurs game. Hoping for early blowout in this one.

Really excited for us to come out and play the same way again. Maybe Indiana can have another game where they can't shoot threes against us.

So it looks like Khris sits this one and maybe plays against the Spurs. ****

If Midds is out it might be harder to tell if Coach Grief makes any adjustments from the last game, but that for me is what I'm most looking out for. Does Grief make any scheme adjustments (beyond allowing for Midds not being there)? If he doesn't, we really have to question (if we're not already) his ability to react to the need for change, and move away from what isn't working when needed.

AJJ has lost some luster but, give him a few minutes of harassing TJ McJordan. Let him be an annoying pest. TJ will still get some points but with some resistance and not let him go off so effortlessly.

This is a must win.

It's the talk of each NBA pundit
How our defense is gone like we shunned it
It's conventional wisdom
As though Bill Simmons quizzed 'em
On my face is a look like you stunned it

I'm so tired of the Bucks' lack of defense being used as a pretext to Slam Our Bucks under the guise of insightful analysis. OK, here within the family we can point out the shortcomings we see, but the media Bucks haters can just shut their pie holes, as we say in the non-Celtics-loving Midwest.

A 120-104 drubbing of the upstart Pacers might help in this regard.

104?

So far this year they scored 126, 128, 126 and 122 against us. I know that 120-104 is a joke but that joke should not be used when we play Pacers :(

If this game comes in under 257.5, I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Pat now questionable, he's sick. He's been pretty bad but being down he and Khris isn't good. And can't even throw Green out there either.

If the Bucks win, does that mean the Pacers get evicted from the rent-free stay they've had in our heads?

Wonder how AJ broke his nose.
