Game 37: Jazz at Bucks - 1/8/24 - 7:00 - BSWI - Dame out

Jazz just won at Philly (without Embiid and Harris). I'll watch of course but on my second TV, college football championship on main screen.

Go Bucks
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We have to watch this ish again? Either raw talent gets us over the line, or we are schemed off the court.

Giannis asks for the pride, and we have Pride Night!

Jazz are 7-3 in their last ten.

Lauri, Collins, Sexton and Clarkson are all capable of going off for 30.

And against the Bucks defense it could all be on the same night!

Side note as a much discussed player this offseason in Sexton. He got put into the starting lineup a few weeks ago due to injuries and has been doing very well since and as far as I know they've left him as starter. In 14 games as starter he's at 21.5ppg, 5 ast on 50/35/90 shooting splits. Seems that he was a good player to target to pair next to Jrue and likely would've gotten good results if he was allowed to get involved and not just stand in the corner. I assume he's still just blah at D but didn't check any advanced stuff, but I'd assume he's better than a Beaz type and is at least young and athletic. And of course it all comes down to what we would've had to give up to get him. But as far as an under the radar player/skill etc to target it seems he was a good one

For sure can't knock the all in move on Dame. But it would be an interesting different route if they'd have gone this way instead. Plus of course a big butterfly effect with Dame getting traded elsewhere, no Jrue to Bos, etc.

I'm guessing they gave him some time to be with his kids and clear his head.

I'm surprised at how inhumane Bucks fans have become.

Exactly. Having money doesn't make you immune to personal issues that affect many.

TyTy time. Gotta give him 25-30+ minutes. He’s looked good in the G League, and these are the opportunities to see what you have there.

I think Dame taking some time off is a positive. I wish him well with whatever he has going on.

Excited to see if TyTy can be something. God knows we need some luck with young talent.

Aside from the divorce stuff think of load management aspects of the past few years. Dame is kinda old at this point and probably should be getting occasional maintenance days all year, thus far he really hasn't done that since they've been needing him to just scrape by crap teams. They also just had a B2B and he had to play extra mins in the 4th on Fri just to barely beat a crap spurs team. If he has some court/legal stuff or whatever with the fam might as well let him do it since he likely is due for a rest anyway and of course you need him back for Boston on Thursday, this day off gives 4 straight days off. Who knows maybe he needs to go to Por for something so needs those days
