Your poll reminds me a Greek proverb : " Από τη Σκύλλα στη Χάρυβδη". Translation : "Βetween Scylla and Charybdis".
Scylla and Charybdis were two mythological monsters. We have a lot of them in Greek mythology. As you can understand, this proverb is used when a person has to face an extremely difficult situation, a dilemma (another Greek word), and whatever this person does, it sucks. Either way, a monster will devour them.

Doc Rivers is a smart person. He is not a bad coach. I don't know if Griffin is a smart person but he is definitely not a good coach. Still, Doc is a mythological monster too. Any good coach will destroy him in playoffs. So, i cannot choose. If you abduct me and tell me you're gonna kill me if i don't answer, i will answer " Bring me Rivers. But only for 6 months contract until the 2024 summer." If not for 6 months but longer and you still demand an answer, well, i had a nice run, let's get it done mr Abductor.

Problem is, it's not just Griffin. These dudes cannot defend for their lives. Big changes should be made, regarding of the players. If not, it doesn't matter much if Griffin or Doc or Spoelstra is the coach. Still, we'll wither like a flower.

I think Doc has his flaws and usually after a couple seasons has his team wanting him out. I get that feeling from this team after 30 some odd games under Griffin. I'd take Doc.

I refuse to choose between the two, Griffin should be fired and Doc should enjoy his time in the media. Doc is a better more experienced coach but I'm not committing 3 years 30 million.

Doc Rivers is better than Grief but still the wrong choice. We'd probably look like a normal team again but no chance would we compete for a title.
Keep Grief until we find a real coach.

I'd expect if the owners do that, it's with the understanding they'd eat $20M+ if it doesn't work out.

Just no. He had the same problem, a big 3 offensive superstars who couldn't play defense to save their lives. Then he traded them all away for scraps.

Probably fighting with all his former players who hated him on twitter, still.

If Doc Rivers come in, would he have to keep Beasley in the starting backcourt with Dame?

Is it possible Doc’s players choked more than him choking as a coach?

Honestly not trying to be contrarian.

Am open to the anti-Rivers argument and interested in more specifics.

That said am also open to Doc potentially being better than an unproven option like Atkinson.

With Doc it's just a case of "better the devil you know" than the devil you don't. It's not ideal, but you're going into that arrangement with eyes wide open (you would hope).

I don't think you make a move unless you really like the replacement. You can't fire 3 coaches in 12 months.

Don't like it but Doc.

As long as you're prepared to light more money on fire with coaches, if it doesn't work.

Really, I bet Giannis & company miss Bud. Go apologize & run it back with the addition of Dame.

If we fire 2 championship head coaches and the guy pegged as one of the league's top assistants, are other coaches going to believe the coach was the problem?

I think the team will keep ag and get a defensive player, then see how ag fares. If it is the same or worse, they will fire ag. The trade deadline is feb 2 I think.
