Sounds like Hunter might not be the last commit. Lots of rumors 2 others are coming soon. Xavier Amos & John Tonje

I’m maybe back in on a decent team with this haul.

Tonje going for that 6th year I love it. Another Brad Davison. His stats look great, really good shooter.

I dont know much about any of them, but it seems they've all had some success at one point or another in the last couple years. There could be a lot of competition to start and/or get rotation minutes going into next season. That could lead to some surprising improvements.

There’s some risk, but this is the caliber of gamble they need to try. Hunter and Amos are the type that could ascend. Tonje is coming off injury, like Hunter (and somewhat Amos). I like the idea.

Add Tonje and we should have a good rotation of guys that can shoot (except occasionally Gilmore)

What are we looking at for a playable rotation?

Something like

PG: Hunter, McGee
SG: Klesmit, Freitag
SF: Blackwell, Tonje
PF: Amos, Gilmore
C: Crowl, Winter

With McGee & Gilmore not really getting that much time?

NIU was awful this past season, but I don't know diddly about how that team was made up.

8/4/3 vs Marquette
12/8/0 vs DePaul
26/7/0 vs Northwestern
6/3/3 vs Iowa

...are his P5 performances last season, with Marquette being the first game of the year as he came off minimal PT as a Freshman, so maybe not a great read. Don't really know anything about him, but a lanky PF who shoots 3s well fits modern basketball pretty spot-on.

Will stay optimistic on this one. And hey, he's gonna be just a Junior, so if he plays well he can leave us!

Supposedly Hunter should be off the ball a bit more even if he is PG, so while you may imply it, I think Freitag fits in there a bit more at PG.

Would be nice to get another insurance big man to take Gilmore further out of the rotation.

Yea, I thought Freitag was the PG of the future. Timeline sped up with Chucky leaving.

Latest Wisconsin Is A Volleyball School update:

Walking State towards campus this afternoon I crossed paths with CC Crawford aka Quickdraw McCraw aka Metal Fingers Boom. I'd estimate we were equal height, but reader, allow me to give some context. I am between 6 even and 6'1." She is listed at 6'3." Kelly Sheffield is a great coach, but is it possible the program's success is in no small part related to height inflation?

Can confirm she leggy tho Go Red.

Ran into Blackwell at the Terrace a couple weeks ago. For the first time ever with a UW athlete I’ve seen, I think he was taller than listed height.
