It’s legitimately jarring to witness second half Klesmit this year.

Sounds like starting with the 25-26 season the student section will move to the side of the court

Edit: nvm apparently it was a fake email going around. I got got
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

When Greg Gard mentions the improvement of the Estonian verbally directing his teammates on defense that is when I say he has the Ilv Communication feel free to use, no big deal.

A somewhat unpopular take: I hope that Klesmit doesn't do the **** again where he puts his head on the guy. He's not in the Davison or college Grayson Allen category as doing dirty or questionable stuff and the correct punishment (not on him) was passed out, but I cringed a little bit with the head on the guy's shoulder twice thing. He did get what he was looking for getting under his skin, though.

Wild final play.

We were cooked (read: not cooking) in the second half. Real bad offensive performance, not just by this team's standards, but hung onto it. I'll take it.

This team has all the makings of an early exit in march.

I kind of feel the opposite. This team can make a run if they get hot.

I agree, though I’d add it’ll be somewhat matchup dependent as well. We’ve struggled with athleticism, but can pick apart system type teams.

Our guard rotation is a tournament quality for sure.

I agree with both of these takes.

What has surprised me most is that while we still have our cold offensive stretches in games, we have kept them shorter. Klesmit has been a big burst in those moments. There’s been a handful of games he came in and turned the game around. And he’s only a junior.

Last year (and several before that not including Davis), the team did not have much in the way of alphas. So the offense was either a long post-up to Wahl/Crowl or a heavy reliance on the 3 from streaky shooters. That's where a lot of droughts/blown leads came from.

This year, we seem to be taking a lot more shots at the rim obviously with Storr/Blackwell which opens things up for Max and Wahl to move more freely to the basket as well.

Last night was maybe as bad as it gets for a drought for this team because Storr can still beak up the drought getting to the line or whatever.

However, less reliance on the 3 also makes for these games where it feels like the Badgers are outplaying their opponent but the opponent hits a few 3s and you check the scoreboard and wonder what the hell is going on. Minnesota hit 7/10 in the 2nd half...the defense isn't up to par with teams of old but some of that is a tradeoff.

I was at the game, the security was all set up for a court storming...so I'm glad we missed that.
