If you're a writer and using "level up" with a straight face, you are a herb.

Do not be an herb.

I feel the same way whenever I hear someone say "____ has come online".

Shut up, dork.

Seeing some pushback from The Youths online, so let me just say to any of you kids here: yes, believe everything the olds are saying when they talk about how big the OJ thing was. The white bronco chase, the trial, the reading of the verdict...all of it was the biggest thing in the US for over an entire year.

Not sure we have too many youths here :D But yeah the trial literally almost cancelled soap operas because they lost daytime ratings.

My big takeaway on OJ is that I had no idea that apparently mixing OJ and sparkling mineral water or soda water is a thing until today- it struck me whilst having a glass of OJ this morning that it should be a thing, did some googling and turns out it is. One crazy thing I saw was to make a virgin mimosa by mixing OJ with GINGER ALE, which sounds pretty wild.

Sunday is shaping up to be fun. Several NBA games that will effect seeding. Masters final round. Brewers face Corbin Burnes. And of course one day I wouldn't mind crappy weather it's supposed to be 75 and sunny. Grilling mandatory.

That would be cool if we can get the Royal Rumble at AmFam.

Wish it was in the spring so the roof could be open but still cool.

Looks like 2026 at the earliest. AmFam is being "winterized" in 2025.

Settle down, Lisa.

Nothing is as cringe as Eric Collins describing his process on announcing. Nothing organic about his excitement at all and is just trying to get attention.

Some companies can be so annoying. 6 week hiring process. Numerous times I’ve stated my minimum salary/compensation, has never been an issue and was within their range. Get the offer and not only is the base salary lower by a good amount, the target bonus maximum % dropped. So all in all, total comp was down way below their initial range. Like wtf, enjoy spending more money to hire someone else. I gave them a take it or leave it price.
