PG Detroit: The More Things Change The More They Stay the Same

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:30 am

Woke up this morning on the wrong side of bed
I got this feeling like a train's running through my head
Turned on my radio to the same old song
Some big mouth talking trying to tell us where the world went wrong
But all this talk of peace and love
It's only for the news
'Cause everytime you trust someone
You end up getting screwed

The more things change
The more they stay the same
Everyone's your brother till you turn the other way
The more things change
The more they stay the same
All we need's a miracle to take us all away from the pain

Came to this morning i was feeling mighty used
Picked up the telephone but all i got's a major attitude
Turned on the tv to the same old news
Everybody thinks they got the answer to the same old blues
Like a hot smokin' pistol on a saturday night
You gotta go for the throat
You gotta fight for your life

The more things change
The more they stay the same
Everyone's your brother till you turn the other way
The more things change
The more they stay the same
All we need's a miracle to take us all away from the pain

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

"The Bucks pulling away from the Pistons in the last four minutes of this one!" was one of the more depressing things one of our announcers have said recently.

We live in such a weird timeline. We acquired Dame, adding him to **** Giannis, and we struggle with the worst team in the NBA and have GTs barely 8 pages long. Because following the team is depressing, watching and feeling how much is being wasted.

No, it was Novak describing this as a clash of the heavyweights with about 5 minutes left in the game.

Did what we were supposed to do, something, something.

No triple double watch for Giannis in the game thread? Bucks fans completely apathetic.

I watched the Pistons broadcast, which was more enjoyable than Lisa and whoever. Incidentally, as evidence of my superior basketball knowledge, I thought Pistons color man Greg Kelser was better than Magic Johnson when they played together at Michigan State.

Nice win and predictable "barely beat a bad team" grumpy reaction here. Cheer up, winners.

Only took 44 minutes o pull way. What was Giannis drawing on bench during the2 quarter?

Giannis - Kareem - Khris. Top 3 Bucks legends.

We gave the Detroit crowd two closely contested games so hope they had fun. Starters did enough while not really trying and the bench stunk it up.

Need Dame to start locking in that jumper soon. Seems way off sometimes and he's not getting a lot of separation either. Something to watch.

Dre and Bobby are basically the bench right now, starters definitely play with their food but holy **** we just get nothing from the bench players and Horst has utterly failed at finding any hidden gems really.

Still, 30-13 with moves surely coming. It's not hopeless, the talent we have still has a chance to win out when the time comes and that'll always give me hope.

Grats to Khris, he is the 3rd best Buck all time in my estimation and now has the #3 scorer title to match. He also bailed us out bigtime tonight, just a steady vet that keeps our head above water. Appreciate you Khris

Khash is only like 2,200 behind Kareem. He could conceivably pass him by the end of next season.

You always let the Washington Generals take a small lead in the fourth. It gives the paying customer a sense of drama.

Bad competition, bad announcers, badly coached team playing badly, etc. But hey, star power wins in the end.

I have nothing to comment upon the game but i will say this : CINDERELLA was a great hard rock band. A lot of people got confused with the make up/hair etc, but they were never a "hair metal" pop/metal group like POISON and such, they were always more ACDC than Bon Jovi, not that there's anything wrong with that!

So, remember..

We’re a slow moving train wreck. We all know where this ends which is why this season is so depressing. Anyhoo, I’m done with beating the dead horse. Will just accept it for what it is.

Kind of amazing that Beauchamp has gone from cleaning everyone's clock in training camp to being a DNP - Coach's Decision against the Pistons.
