Game 44: Cavs at Bucks - 1/24/24 - 7:00 - BSWI

Cavs have won 8 in a row and annihilated the Bucks last week (wire to wire, 47 point lead, 40 point victory). No Giannis but he wouldn't have mattered. Khris was -40 in 19 minutes. Total embarrassment.

If there is a switch to flip during the regular season it might be a good time to do it. This is the first of 3/4 and 4/6. The next 9 games are Cavs, Cavs, Pelicans (B2B), at Denver, at Portland, at Dallas, at Utah (B2B), at Suns, T'Wolves. The way the team is playing they will not win a majority of those games, not even close. We'll see.

The Pacers are the only team that beat the Bucks more than once this season...

Whoever the new coach is will have their work cut out for them with us just entering the roughest stretch of the season right when they're coming in. Very likely we do worse than .700 over that stretch, but it will be about how the team looks overall.

Did you know Joe Prunty was named Interim HC of the bucks on Jan 22nd 2018? Exactly 6 years and 2 days ago. In his first game after the sudden and shocking dismissal of JKidd (**** YOU KIDD) his team defeated the PHX Suns.

I think he's going to get another Prunty new coach happy vibes bump and pull off a win.

I've been here but I'm never confront-y
I just watched from the side
And I took it in stride
I'd speak up but I'm just not that blunt-y.

Should see a little adrenalin bump tonight, but we'll be paying the transaction costs of this change for the next few weeks. You can't expect instant coaching improvement with Prunty, who after all has been here and watched and acquiesced, or with Doc grafted onto a staff picked by Griffin, or anybody else. But after things quiet down, I think the players will find the space to just play and we'll see what we have.
