Doc will be an instant upgrade if he gets the coaching staff to stop wearing the absolute ugliest gear the Bucks sell.

If this guy can’t motivate these dudes to play together, it was never going to work out.

Loved that he said at least one of the young guys would absolutely be needed. Really loved everything he said, even when he was lying to cover up the timeline of everything.

Feels good to have an adult in the room. Doc feels like the right blend of what our group needs in a coach. I liked the line where he said he can point up to his name in the rafters if guys are doubting him. He will get buy-in and respect where Griffin could not.

If that politician can convince Dame and Giannis to play together instead of taking turns, that’s really the most important thing.

Why did no one ask Horst or Doc why he wasn't a finalist during the initial hire? Both were acting like this was some perfect timing situation that wasn't previously possible because Doc was under contract and we didn't have an opening.

I was actually curious about this to. I'm fine with the move given the desperate times we're in right now but I'd have loved someone to ask Horst why Doc was the right candidate now when he wasn't even worth an interview in the Summer

Do not care what he says in press conferences/interviews, we all know Doc can talk. And most coaches are going to sound brilliant in comparison to Griffin.

Just fix the defensive scheme. Get us playing a sensible brand of defense and playing with more intentionality on offense, and then I'll get excited.

Doc's always been great with the mic. I just don't think he's a very good coach and his hire is being panned by the media and former players alike. Hearing JJ Redick all but pan the move was especially notable as a former player of his.

I think we’re going into this with eyes wide open. I don’t think anyone thinks of doc as a top tier NBA coach anymore but we really just need him to be good enough. Vogel and Bud were good enough to snag one and I don’t think there’s too much difference with them and Doc.
