Their other announcer started whining about the amount of free throws Giannis attempts per game and Carr goes "well yeah, it's because he attacks the rim."

It's not rocket science people.

In the meantime, Giannis only shot 3 FTs tonight. Dame shot 11. Khris 8. Game was won at the FT line - the other shooting numbers were very close.

Teams before they play the Bucks: If Giannis gets the ball in the paint near the rim foul him every time!!

Teams after they play the Bucks: We got screwed, look how many free throws Giannis shot.

It was mixed. Brook and Iannis stayed low more therefore the rim protecion was way better. THere wasn't hardly any double teaming up top.

My issue is that when we are actually requiring coaching, we're going into this playoffs with a more rusted-in Bud, with a longer history of an inability to adapt. Griffin could actually draw up a decent play.

Doc has, however, never had either Bucks in 6 or Dame Time to help him. Time will tell.

From what I've gathered, it's more likely that Dame/Giannis/Brook/Khris were the ones drawing up those plays. AG in the playffs was likely a 1st round exit

Yeah if there are any aspects of Griffin's tenure where I don't think he was a complete screw up it was:

1) Out of bounds plays. Remember during the Kidd/Bud eras where it seemed like we literally never got a good look in those situations? Granted players might be drawing some of those up but it was still noticeable.

2) I don't have any issue with how he handled the young guys. They're just not that good, but I felt like he did an okay job of giving them enough PT to see what's there.

KM with 2 steal/dunks in 2 games early in the 3rd... what do they inject into you at the half?

Also Brook was used more down low and only 1 three all game long. Smart move using a 7 footer near the rim.

And calling timeouts when the opposing team started going on a run. Griffin was decent with that.

But I don't have much else positive to add. :dontknow:

It couldn't have been more evident. From how loose the guys played to their reactions/expression while on the floor. I haven't seen Dame and Giannis smile this much during a game all year combined.

In case anyone missed it, I'll buy an extra Dame Time Watch if you have one from tonight's game :)

I don't think I saw Bobby once try and overextend to get a steal out on the perimeter this game.

Today was a good day.

Called up the homies, and I'm askin' y'all
We goin' ta FiServ to watch the basketball?
Up against the Cavs and there's no trouble
Tonight we saw Giannis get a triple-double
Griff is gone and now it's Dame Time all the way,
I can't believe, today was a good day.

My biggest takeaway was that we only gave up 116. Was getting used to giving up 130+ with Griff almost every game. What a relief to see an improvement tonight.

Fire whoever forgot to turn the mic on for Khris's postgame interview.

Feels good having the person I want fired not be the coach for a night.

Brook getting those offensive tap backs gave us a bunch of second attempts. It only works if he's not standing at the 3p line

Called up the front office and I’m asking y’all,
Why the hell is Grief coaching basketball.
Put Grief on your bench and you’re in trouble.
Last week, starters played 80 in a Pistons double.
Freaking out his players like MJ.
Even with Prunty it was a good day.
