PBev bump seems to be a thing. There's an uptick on Defensive pressure and Bobby seems to increase his energy when they are on the floor together.
Pbev also high bbiq and runs things better than cam payne, massive difference.
Team overall looks more cohesive the more days they are in Doc's system.
Giannis and Dame looked better together than they have for most of the season. I feel like with the right coaching they are starting to gel.
Giannis had a great full body screen on Dame's 4pt play. Did you see it?? No slip screen. Got a body on a guy and let Dame do his thing.
Lots of positives, and signs that this team can become much more. More time together, more cohesion, continue working together and this team could be the juggernaut we envisioned 4+ months ago.
Bev probably saw Giannis set picks in film and showed him how to do it

Well someone showed him, or he finally bought in. It just looks like everyone is on the same page, helps when HC isn't asking players to do stupid **** and confused the hell out of everybody, and everybody ends up doing their own thing.

So happy with how the Bucks played today.
We truly needed a better coach than ag. We also needed a good defensive player like Bev. So both coach and player were needed for us to improve. Good job Horst!

Up to 17th in DRTG. 7th since Doc took over and 6th since we moved on from AG.

Actually, 8-3 without KM and 27-16 with KM.
0-5 without Dame is right.
But when we look at that 3 loses without KM in one of them we also didnt have Dame and in another we didnt have Lopez. So we are 8-1 with just KM out. And I agree with you that it is not coincidence.
And also when we look at that 5 loses without Dame in one of them we didnt gave KM and in another we didnt have Lopez. So we are 0-3 with just Dame out.

Pat is looking great lately, his passing ability is really important. The number of ways Griffin ****** this team up is astounding.

The defense is encouraging, we know this team can score so its just a matter of putting it all together. If the team buys it its gonna be exiting, feel like the D can step it up another level too with playoff physicality.

Haven't done the math and probably won't, anybody know how long we need to wait before we can sign somebody without hitting the 2nd apron (provided we don't hit Khris' unlikely bonus - winning it all - in which case **** it)?

Pat Bev is a culture setter. We’ve desperately needed one of those. We have a lot of nice and goofy or quiet and aloof guys. Needed that dude to rile everyone up.

How about Doc intentionally putting AJ on Jamal Murray ... and then AJ being completely up to the task. It's a beautiful thing.

Re: PG Nuggets: Former Champs Whip Current Champs
It doesn't sound like it was for lack of trying, but really glad we didn't just give up Bobby/Pat/MJB/AJJ/2nd for the best available return. Given what our biggest need actually was (some PoA defense/hustle/grit) we didn't need to try to reinvent the wheel. Payne and a future 2nd for Pat Bev was the exact type of move we needed.
IMO Payne came to this team at the wrong time. Past iterations of this team that had plenty of guard defense but needed some floor spacing and ball-handling could have used him.

Dame/Giannis/Brook have a +31.3 net rating since Griffin got fired. That #1 in the league out of 284 total 3-man lineups with 100+ minutes in that span.
Bucks are also 6th in the league in DRTG post Griffin firing. Doc/Joerger may have transformed this team.
Yeah, and it's been a rough road trip in terms of opponents, days on/off and limited practice time.
Encouraging stuff.

Starting to believe we can win this whole thing again.
P.s. has RGM on mobile been really annoying for anyone else of late? The amount of ads are causing a lot of issues.

Re: PG Nuggets: Former Champs Whip Current Champs
The effort and cohesion is just clearly much better. This win feels more "real" than the Boston one. This game made me more optimistic than any this season. And it's not not because we played out of our minds perfectly, it just is a more coherent brand of basketball that feels sustainable.
It just shows how little the guys believed in what Griffin was selling. Doc is not some schematic maestro but he is a real life adult professional coach that is capable of getting guys of believing in what he's asking them to do. There's no doubt that pure effort and energy are a factor here.
As awful as I think AG was as an Xs and Os coach, I do wonder how big of a chunk of those schemes being disasters was his inability to get his troops to follow him versus the scheme itself being a dumpster fire. Tonight was a great example, we are capable of blitzing and applying pressure and making it work but the back end seems more organized. It's hard for me to gauge how much of the defensive improvement is pure energy due to believing in the directives and how much of it is the directives themselves being... better.
Either way, we will still have ups and downs but bottom line is we look like a basketball team. What we're attempting to appears coherent and with purpose.
Bonus props for Doc for quickly deciding to get Green on the floor. I wonder if he saw something from afar because there has not been a lot of practice. I am hoping that AJJ and Marjon are getting brought up to speed behind the scenes and eventually get there shots as well.
