Game 57: Bucks at Wolves - 2/23/24 - 9:00 - ESPN/BSWI/OTA Wisconsin

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Thu Feb 22, 2024 8:07 pm

Broadcast palooza. ESPN, Bally's and OTA around Wisconsin (Bally's broadcast). In Milwaukee 2 stations are carrying the game, channel 41 and channel 58. Some of you remember when 41 had some Brewers games awhile back. The picture quality was abysmal. Hopefully good to go now if that's how you're watching. First of 10 games being broadcast OTA.

Late start as it's the ESPN doubleheader game.

Tough way to restart the season, Wolves whipped us at home. Wolves favored by 4.5

It's been radio silence on Middleton. No word on if he practiced yesterday. Either Nehm wasn't there or he wasn't suppose to report anything. The initial injury report will be out later this afternoon and we'll have a clue. It's been 16 days since he was hurt. He could be back. He could be out another month.

It's been a rough week here during the break. Some good discussion mixed in with some bizarre stuff  . Now we can go back to bitching about actual games.

Go Bucks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Same company owns 41 and 58. The other 9 games will be on 41 but not 58.

Only seems like bizarre stuff if you've never been on the board before. For a veteran like you, bizarre should be normal. I may be missing a few, but these takes are not bizarre anymore:

1) See what we can get to trade Giannis (after a game in which he scored 35, 12 assists on elite efficiency)
2) Never play BP in any playoff game (just posted today-probably wouldn't have won the championship game without him)
3) Trade Dame asap
4) Dame has never been a good 3 point shooter
5) Crowder is an elite defender
6) Various Bud revisionist takes
7) Giannis coasts on defense
8) Dame is cooked

But I digress. This game is a good test. I'm picking Bucks, with Dame having a great game.

Going to see what Pat can bring after the break, but Doc should probably sit Pat. This is how literally everybody posts on real gm dot com slash Bucks. At least I can glean who daver is referring to in any given post, what's your excuse?

I always use the same excuse. I'm old.

I'm so old I still think the Big O was the best player I've ever seen (pre-Bucks version).

Funny but no unhinged Doc takes in that list. Or do we save those for the podcasters and the Media?

Middleton being out is the most unsurprising thing. The guy is so frustrating. Normal injuries that are 2-4 weeks are 8-12 for him. If he hasn’t even practiced yet I’m guessing he’s out at least another 4 weeks

Like I had been saying, if I was Horst I would have been trying like hell to get anything of value for Khris before the deadline.

Middleton is pretty much useless at this point and the sliver of value that he had left in the trade market will be gone by this offseason.

I was on the trade khris bandwagon for like the past 5 years, but I think that ship sailed 18 months ago. He's on a bloated contract and we as contenders are willing to move on from a vet? He is/was worth more to us ever since he hit FA last summer due to our salary situation. Trading him for negative matter doesn't us better these next two years

Hasn't made much progress and Doc also said if it was a playoff game he'd be playing. Weird.

The injury is legit. He just takes so much longer to rehab than anyone. I understand being cautious but tick tock, it's almost March, not November.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
