In fairness he's not really questioning him. He's more giving an opinion based on his limited scope and seems open to feedback from someone more knowledgeable

Not all doctors will agree either. It’s why people get second opinions. My cousin is a surgeon. I texted him asking rehab for tendinitis and he said rest. Is jez right and my cousin wrong? Possibly. Or there are different ways to treat injuries. Doctors 200 years ago would give you whisky and a bullet to bite on while bloodletting was a common thing. Were they right?

Reminds me of how I spend almost two years in pain after surgery for a torn hip labrum because my (very well regarded) surgeon gave me bad recovery advice. Thank god for the physical therapist that got me on the right track.

His defense isn't half bad either. Give him some more of Crowders minutes lol.

Oh, you're speaking my language. He got more minutes than Jae tonight.

I do think Jae will help us in the playoffs when the game slows down.

So we got 2 games of PBev going absolutely berserk mode.

One was a I'm coming home chitown **** the bulls bananza.

One was like a clippers revenge game party.

Are we gonna get this version of PBev going forward or just when he's on revenge tours?

Because this version of PBev is championship missing piece level like PJ tucker, slight difference him and coach are completely in tune.

I just realized another similarity between him and Tucker is they both had to go the international route for a few years before the made it to the association. They spent years fighting to get to the NBA and they have leaned on that dawg mentality to get in and stay in the NBA.

Love seeing that tenacity and hope it continues to carry forward. It is contagious. I had never seen Dame flex before. Late in the 4th he got an and 1 and I'm pretty sure he flexed. Not used to seeing that type of emotion from Dame.

Your cousin likely works with the general public and doesn’t have the urgency of getting a pro athlete back to functioning at full strength as quickly as possible and his patients may not always have access to world class physical therapy. And some doctors will give try to protect patients from themselves. If they think the two options are rest vs let them carry on recklessly without medical supervision then rest is the safe play.

I won’t speak for Jez but think he is suggesting there are more proactive ways to rehab the connective tissue to more quickly regain the stability that the Greek God needs to get back to performing at his best beyond just “rest.”

I have a relevant personal anecdote. I was a pitcher in college and developed tendinitis in my shoulder. I played at a lower level and the only options I was given were rest to lower inflammation or play through it. I was 19 so obviously given the choice I chose to play through it and it lingered for YEARS. Rehab to stabilize the integrity of the joint surely would have been the more optimal route. Thankfully, Giannis has a world class medical staff that I did not have access to.

Always laughed at the old "Bob" Cooper Glass sign in Madison. I have a weakness for this set-up.

Man I'm doing a deep dive into players to see what their nicknames are on there now and some of them are funny.

First time I'm being introduced to one of these nicknames for Pat

Also don't ask me how I wound up on Garrison Matthews but I'm starting to question if Supreme has been down this rabbit hole before.....
