PG Sixers - Bucks Grind out Win

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Mar 15, 2024 2:26 am

Came to life in the 4th.

Green got minutes with Beasley and Khris out. But even when they return he's earned rotation minutes. Every game. He better play Sunday.

Officiating was terrible. Not in either teams favor, just terrible.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So Green might be our best perimeter defender lol

What, we can't get a Bucks 86 the 76ers?

Kind of the most nauseating win tbh. Can't believe I powered through the whole thing.

Laughing at the guards busting their ass on defense on that last Philly possession. Oh, you're gonna d-up now when you're ahead by 9 with 20 seconds left? Cool!

Felt a lot like that Clippers win. Ugly but got it done.

Glad we won but we made that harder than it needed to be. After that westcoast trip, against a team without their best player, we should have dominated that game from beginning to end. But we won, let's keep it going vs PHX on Sunday.

It's criminal not to get Green at least 15mpg.

It'd be worth experimenting with AJG at the starting SG spot and Beas off the bench. Can't do any harm in these remaining games to see if it works.

Also, for all our improvements on the defensive end, it seems like our offence has regressed a lot too.

Based solely on box score because I couldn't watch the game:

1) Dame with 9 assists and no turnovers-impressive
2) Giannis with 7 turnovers- also impressive
3) Another game where the other team shoots 50%-impressive again
4) Based on the box score, the perimeter defense was horrific. I'm not sure what it is with coaches not figuring out how to guard the three point line.

That was some bad basketball until AJ Green swung the momentum.

Could only tune in for a bit. Saw Dame sizing up his defender only to pass it to Brook covered on the perimeter with a late shot-clock a few times - thought that was really dumb. Saw some lazy rebounding effort by Giannis and Dame. Then I saw AJ Green not let Maxey get a shot off for 5 or 6 straight possessions and Giannis:Dame 2 man-game create good shots repeatedly.

The only discernible pattern remains the posts on this forum.

Dame randomly passing up threes to pass to do a dude like Crowder or go for a misadventure in the paint has been weird.

Hopefully we don't see any DNP's for Dairy Bird the rest of the way. Needs regular minutes in the rotation.

AJ Green is an above average defender. He should be an extra assistant coach (we don't have enough) to teach our guys how to play positional defense.

There’s a 95% likelihood he’s our best perimeter defender.

Patrick Beverages is still on the team far as I know.

The homey STJ been right about Dairy Bird's defense for more n' a minute.
