I don't think Marjon's issues are anything to do with strength or physical tools. He just looks mechanical and awkward any time he gets the ball in his hands, so not much has really changed there in the past 18-months. My only hope with him at this point is that a lot of these former G-League Ignite guys might take longer to acclimate to the NBA game as opposed to college or international dudes who spent time in a more structured team setting.

This dude was the MVP of the broadcast. Not just this, but all game. Which one of you was it?

I love Khris but you don't think him being out and Giannis being forced to shoulder a heavier load contributed to this years calf strain?

Other than injury, you're not gonna find a ton of KM slander from me.

No way -- the premise is not true. Usage was way down this year with Dame in the fold, and Khris played a lot more than last year. Much lighter load.

If there's no such thing as a healthy Khris Middleton anymore, I'll take the unhealthy one.

Giannis's minutes and games played were higher than they've ever been since he was 23 years old and generally NBA teams stagger their stars minutes.

Similar usage rate to years past plus higher minutes and more games HAS to be a contributing factor... Come on.

We all love Love Khris. Saying his injuries aren't a real problem is insane.

Somehow finding a way to blame Khris for Giannis’ injury is something on Bucks RealGM would do.

Contribution isn't directly blaming but you know that.

The only people to blame for the Giannis injury is the medical staff. They let him play through an injury that could become more serious just before the playoffs.

Giannis has himself to blame for his strained calf. The dude knows one speed and one speed only. He doesn’t know when to ease off the gas.

Suggesting that Khris’ injury had any sort of contributing factor to Giannis’ is dumb.

The need to play more games and more minutes than he has in 6 years contributed to an injury commonly brought on by oversuse. What an insane idea...

Let's just hope he plays tomorrow.

Or maybe Giannis simply got hurt and there's nobody to blame but the cruelty of the universe.

This is from the game thread but feels more appropriate here

Yea ideally you can find a younger taller better version of Bev to start and then have Bev be the backup.

This is my chosen route. Prioritize finding a more athletic 2 that can defend and possibly the same for a Brook replacement.

Get rid of the washed vets and develop AJ and AJJ as rotation pieces. They are in the mix as that starting 2 but ideally bench mob guys. Bev/AJJ/Green/Pat(ideally to find a longer and more athletic guy here)/Bobby is not a bad bench.

1. Find said 2 guard
2. Look to get more athletic at Center for Brook
3. longer wing backup bumping Pat's role down

Everything else is in place. I'm not blowing up the Dame/Giannis/Khris trio without giving them one postseason shot at it

Well yeah, agreed. My comment was offering reasons to consider trading Middleton which was being discussed several pages back.
