Halftime adjustments by Doc. Imagine that. Say what you will about him but Grief wouldn't/couldn't do that. "We're up 5, no changes needed!"

Ron Swanson wrote:Can't really keep using this "they just didn't hit their 3's" excuse when they made one more 3-pointer than we did (12 to 11). Again, letting Turner and Siakam hoist above-the-break 3's is a good strategy (they went 2-for-8 combined, with only one attempt coming from the corners). Also, Indiana has only been a slightly above-average 3PT shooting team all year (15th in attempts, 9th in efficiency). Even without Giannis or Dame, we attacked the rim (20 to 13 FT advantage) and controlled the pace. We're shooting 37% from 3 for the series to their 35%. If anything, Game 4 was a complete outlier for them, and we're the ones due for an outlier type shooting night. Let's just hope it happens Thursday.

the fact weve outscored them in the series and specifcally in the two games without dame is whats encouraging to me. feels like a horse race for some reason

docs a great coach. maybe not the greatest of all time but a great coach all the same. my outlook has changed since we got him. if youre going to dump bud who was great as well then we should have just gone for doc right off the bat. injuries would still be here those are unavoidable with this roster but what docs done in this series i will remember, and THE PLAYERS will remember. win or lose i think doc has got this lockerroom back under control

No evidence whatsoever that either are at risk of blowing out their Achilles. The thing with Durant a few years ago was the exception, not the rule. Lots of fake news out there about "risking all of next year." It's nonsense.

Can we get the resident doctor on here? It doesn't make sense to debate the percent threat of a long term injury unless we have people who know what they're talking about.

Of course that's never been a criteria on here before about anything, so maybe I'm wrong.

Nothing substantial. It's the same clickbait headlines that said they wouldn't play game 5 though. It's all based on the same Doc quote and Shams sources but doesn't mean much until we see them in a uniform.

FWIW, they did mention a text from someone within the org on LockedOn that "they got the feeling Giannis was playing in 6."

The first injury report will be out soon. Indy hasn't submitted theirs yet either.

Giannis doesn't have an injury that risks his achilles, and it absolutely guaranteed we'd look better with him.

I think he's been a positive in the home games, but both road games I thought he was pretty bad.

How does the injury report work? Like why wouldn’t each team just list everyone as doubtful for every game?

I had the volume down on and off, what was going on in the 3rd when he was doing a million things before shooting a FT?

I think he was complaining about the ball being wet, but it could have easily just been some gamesmanship to get another 'timeout'

Yes, only a medical doctor can comment on medical things. Having experience w/ this type of injury is completely irrelevant when compared to reading paragraph upon paragraph in medical school journals.

The icing on the cake of all of this was the smile on Dame's face when PatBev got Toppin called for a tech.
