i think he could do it, but will never be selected to compete because he isn't the "high flying" player they want for the contest

Prehaps! I'm was to make football often times. Play? Know. Best football results twice again.

Every age I have seen out as a baby. I think I has the solution: width times height.

Id love to see him in the dunk contest tho... =] OR any Bucks player in All Star Saturday for that matter

There's no creativity to his dunks, which is perfectly fine for scoring two points but won't get you in the dunk contest. At least he's dunking with a little more authority.

I know he pulled off a 360 in the CBA dunk contest a few years ago, but he didn't exactly look graceful doing it. In general I'm not sure 7 footers belong in the dunk contest, unless you're named Dwight Howard.

a seven foot tall chinese guy in a green and red jersey dunking a basketball is pretty creative if you ask me.

OOOOOO!!! Why not have him be in a teammate dunk with Dez?!?! Tell me that wouldnt rock! Have Dez jump over Yi, or something like that.

He doesn't move the ball around at all and almost always goes up with both hands. He's not dunk contest material.

Yi isn't a good dunker. Might as well put Redd in the dunk contest.

I'd love a non-dunkers dunk contest. Redd, Q Richardson, Bonzi Wells, Matt Carroll and Wally Szczerbiak. With Luke Jackson on standby.

Nope, even then big guys usually don't get that much credit when they are in the dunk contest. Examples are Amare & Dwight Howard. Yi Jianlian would have to be performing some amazing dunks if he plans to win it.

He could have a miniature chinese wall and jump over it.

I'd like to see Yi's 36" or 38" vertical in action...

Can't believe any legit 7-footer can have that kind of vert. Just need to confirm it like how Howard did with the sticker dunk or his "kiss the rim" dunk.

Don't need creativity: 7+3 feet gets you 10 feet. Yi could do the Chinese "bang your head on the rim" two handed dunk.

In one of the clips shows Yi's dunk in a chinese dunk contest, he does a 360 and falls over, nothing that flash.
