I was wondering if anyone else has had problems accessing the online play in GTA4 on the PS3?

I haven't picked it up yet. I bought a new computer on Monday, so I've been busy setting it up and all that. Maybe this weekend.

Simulated murder that has a rated system of a (10)....incredible.

Some games are evil at its core. How could someone design a game that is geared toward destruction and death?

Unreal. I stick to sports games.

I have to admit, it is pretty evil. When I can go around and just shoot a teenage school girl to death, thats strange. I immediately felt bad afterward actually but I wanted to try my new gun and she was the first person I saw. No wonder why kids bring guns to school and just unload on people though. I never really got into the GTA's much before but since it had a 10 rating from IGN and allowed online play, I had to give it a try. I am not sure how much I like it yet but the scope of it is amazing.

Haha, well that's true. But then there's transfering data to it from various other computers that I'll be getting rid of, and ordering software as I figure out what I can keep and what won't work.

I had uninstalled Sibelius (my composition program) from the old comp because I only get one CD key, but my old version ended up not being compatible with the new Intel Mac, so I had to order that, and reinstall it on the old computer so that I don't lose a week of productivity while I wait for v5 to arrive.

Plus I had to play around with widgets since I've never had them before. Turns out the Tetris widget sucks and is too slow.

So there you go MD, my story checks out. 8)

Well yeah im just saying playing the game seems to take priority over posting about it.

But since im here, theres nothing better than going all Bobby Simmons on hookers.

Well, then again, going all Pacman Jones' posse in the strip club is fun too.

The drunk driving thing is an interesting addition.

I love the game and havent even gotten to the multiplayer online yet. Ive mainly just been doing random violence across the city. (Sorry MBBOT  :nonono:   :x :noway: )
So between that, sleeping, work and the other normal daily things, its fun. (And i definitely need that right now with all the sh*t going on in my life)

OT, but doesn't need its own thread: Iron Man was a really fun movie. Great acting and action. Favreau turned out one of the best comic book movies yet. If you're a nerd for this stuff, make sure to stick around through the credits.

GTA is not a 10. Driving cars is to much of a pain in the rear to make it fun. Friends and I tried to shot out of a car and it sucked. :nonono: Glad I rented it first. Madden 09 should be great. Will be able to create a league and draft online with 31 other owners. :D

i think the driving's ok, you're typically not driving sportscars so it's good that you can't just fly around corners all the time. i kind of agree about shooting out of cars, it'd be nice if you could aim without actually shooting. shooting while driving is hard but although i've never tried it in real life, i'd imagine it does take some skill

The gamespot video review said that GTA's graphics weren't great. But it still got a 10.0? I guess that means they did away with averaging the different categories to come up with an overall rating?

That's fine by me though. I thought it was stupid to average "sound and music" in, since rarely does that impact the quality of a game very much, except in a few instances where the soundtrack is excellent. (I thought the music really made the atmosphere for Diablo 1, and some of the Final Fantasies).
