Thanks Luke and Peter for sending me it. That is a **** to give up for a slightly above average PG. If that is the case there isn't a whole lot to look forward to for the upcoming season.

Well its out there guys, read between the lines.

Cv, Des, and 8 for Hinrich.

It seems to fit most of the hints (doesn't involve Yi or Bogut, doesn't have us moving up, adds a veteran, doesn't please most people, etc).

I like adding HInrich. I don't like giving up the 8th pick. Especially after the year he is coming off of. But I think there was a decent market for him. And that he still has a lot of decent basketball left in him. Also, I think with Hinrich's defense we can get by with keeping Redd... as Hammond mentioned "you can hide one bad defender."

Hinrich, Redd, Simmons, Yi, and Bogut. With Mo to trade. Sessions and Gadz off the bench.

I don't know. That team doesn't blow me away.

oshmeehan wrote:If this deal did happen as it is, then its almost certain Mo would be moved for a SF (a SF that can probably play some PF as well), whether it be a back-up to Simmons or as a starter. Also probably would mean that Ersan would be back to help fill some of the minutes left vacant by Mason and CV

Yeah, it definitely increases the odds of Ersan coming back.

Which Wichmae also noted during that whole discussion...so even if a different deal goes down, Desmond is an obvious piece to include. I'd feel much better if it were Bobby/CV/8 for Hinrich/Thabo since at least that way we're not adding to potential luxury tax issues in 2009.

The deal cannot go down draft night due to Kirk being BYC.

Anyone know how legit/strong this rumor is? Who made the offer to the other team?

You guys can pretty much read osheehan's post on page 70 and fam's on 71 and get the idea what the deal is. :)

Tell me the rumor or I shall unleash the fury of the love child of Ramon Sessions and Joe Alexander, Ram'n Joe Sexander:

I wasn't nearly as high on Hammond as everyone around here. He's been involved in more draft picks than not and if the Hawks didn't just give Sheed away the pistons wouldn't have been the team they have been.

I don't think anyone should be sending the rumour to Bulls' fans. #1: they don't have any history to know whether or not they should be trusted, #2: nobody here wants to see them satisfied at our expense.

Yeah I was shocked when I got the email. We lose offense for defense but the overall upgrade from Mo to Hinrich is minimal at best and then we have to give up all the extra value? Makes no sense to me.

Much rather draft Alexander and move Mo/CV in a separate deal to land a physical PF and another solid PG. That is basically giving up two top ten picks and a 6.5M expiring contract for a guy that is only a slight upgrade over Mo. Yuck if this happens, I'm hoping it falls through.

If this happens Mo is gone. Any chance Mo and Redd for filler and the 2 pick?

Well if Des is traded tomorrow night we'll get a chance to see his reaction...

Bucks forward Desmond Mason is scheduled to be in attendance at the newly reconfigured Summerfest Sports Area, along with Bango, the Energee! Dance Team, the Bucks Rim Rockers, Super Force, the MBX Stunt Team and the venerable Seniorgee.
