Farwell to CV thread

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 8:09 pm

Well CV, was hoping we'd bring you back, it's hard to find young talent at the PF position, especially ones as offensively gifted as yourself. But looks like we are just letting you walk for nothing.

We might as well say goodbye to the 2009 NBA draft class as well.

Unbelievable.

[green]As long as we can replace him with a physical PF, we will be fine. Who cares if we let him go for nothing[/green]

Yeah... bye CV. It was great seeing your best pro year and it was wonderful that you found the consistancy you lacked. I wish I could watch you continue to grow while on the Bucks, but I am sure you will have more fun on a winning team somewhere.

I hope he averages 25/10 on 50% the rest of the year.

With PG Lowry just traded away, you can now bet Memphis will go after Sessions in the off-season, so we could lose both Sessions and CV.

At least that allows us to sign our 1st round pick! :talkhand:

Sessions is a restricted free agent. I'm not sure what you're getting at here....

They're going to offer him more than we can match? Doubt it. He's not going to get like 8 million a year.

can't we still hope that he takes the qualifying offer and come back next year? i don't think there will be that many suitors this offseason throwing the kind of money he'll be looking for. now the following offseason could be a different story...

If I understand correctly, the Bucks can't afford to offer the QO.

Yes. All you have to do is make the luxury tax increase from $69.4M to like $74M and we're golden.

CV is a Kohl fav, who knows maybe he'll open the purse and go over the lux tax if the team finishes the year strong.

He's never gone over the luxury tax before, and GAD's inside source with the team has already said Kohl has no interest in doing it this offseason
