Jordan Hill sure didn't look good in that Austin Daye highlight.

Updated: May. 19, 2009 8:35 p.m. | The Bucks did not hit the jackpot in the NBA draft lottery Tuesday night, but they didn't slip any spots, either.

Milwaukee will draft No. 10 in the June 25 draft, while the Los Angeles Clippers moved up from the third spot to get the top overall pick. The Memphis Grizzlies moved up from sixth to the second overall spot, and Oklahoma City moved up from fourth to third.

"We've been operating under the assumption we were going to have 10, and now as things pick up, we know," said Bucks coach Scott Skiles. "So that's good."

More to come.

You can't make this stuff up. :D

We've got a poll over at BrewHoop for who you'd like to take...the list includes guys who won't be around, but at this point there aren't many guys who are locks to be gone by 10 anyway.

Since I'm sure nobody in charge of the Bucks has the balls to do the right thing and tear the whole team down to try to get John Wall next year, they should use JA and #10 to unload Gadz while bringing back a later pick or two to fill out the roster.

If they want to try to win, then I don't support them losing anyone who contributed in any meaningful way last year. That's including even Ridnour and Elson, who each played at least one month of good basketball last year. That's why trading JA and #10 and Gadz for a ng'ed contract and a later pick is an option. If they're really trying to win, that frees up enough money to keep Sessions and CV. If they let one talented player (CV) walk and trade away another solid veteran (RJ) just to keep Sessions, then they are pretty much guaranteeing another draft pick in the 8-12 range. No thanks. Either trade Bogut and RJ together or keep the whole team and see if you can't win 45-50 next year. Nothing in betweeen. That's no man's land.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

I want DeRozan or Holiday in that order. Nobody else excites me at 10, but there are guys I like more than others. I have a bad feeling we take a hustle player at 10.

Skiles quote was more important in my opinion - he talked about the Bucks will draft the best player available and it's possible he could fill also a need so it would be a win-win pick.

Of course, the Bucks won 34 games and are in the lottery for the third straight year. They have needs everywhere.

remember awhile back there was an article that said the wizards were going for griffin, rubio or bust

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... r_wizards/

well considering that the wizards got the fifth pick, it would be the perfect opportunity to trade up and get Jordan Hill, who would be great next to Bogut. I'm pretty sure the farthest he would fall would be to Toronto at nine. Would a sign and trade involving Charlie V and the #10 pick for the #5 pick (Hill) and either Mike James, Etan Thomas, or Brendan Haywood be possible? I'm thinking the most likely possibility would be James because they have Arenas and Crittenton at point.

3) OKLAHOMA CITY: Jordan Hill, PF, Arizona

4) SACRAMENTO: Ricky Rubio, PG, DKV Joventut (Spain)

5) WASHINGTON: James Harden, SG, Arizona State

6) MINNESOTA: Tyreke Evans, G, Memphis

7) GOLDEN STATE: DeMar DeRozan, SG, Southern California

8) NEW YORK: Stephen Curry, PG, Davidson

9) TORONTO: DeJuan Blair, PF, Pittsburgh

10) MILWAUKEE: Jonny Flynn, PG, Syracuse

11) NEW JERSEY: Earl Clark, F, Louisville

12) CHARLOTTE: Gerald Henderson, SG, Duke

13) INDIANA: B.J. Mullens, C, Ohio State

14) PHOENIX: Brandon Jennings, G, Lottomatica Roma (Italy)

On the Wiz board most of them want to trade the pick for a veteran SG. I threw out the Redd trade and one guy seems to like it. Trading Redd for a player like DeRozan would make me interested in this team again.

If we took Flynn over both Holiday and Lawson I would absolutely vomit everywhere.

Sacramento jumps for joy with that mock from Gery. I would prefer Holiday over Flynn.

I think the Wizards might be interested in Redd if they're looking to deal the pick. Grunfeld could be looking for a proven vet. If the Bucks were able to deal Redd, get the fifth and keep the 10th that would be very sweet.

As long as they don't take Blair at 10 - as Draft Express' new mock has them doing.

Yep. Too bad no team would do it.
