The Official Let's Talk 10th Pick (and 41st)

Well now we know where the Bucks are going to pick. Skiles said tonight he wants someone at 41 who can come in and contribute right away. Ten isn't sexy but there are some decent guys who may be on the board then.

I'm hoping for DeRozan or Holiday.

I think what's more intruiging is the number 1 overall pick. Obviously, they aren't trading it.

But they already have Randolph, Kamen, and Camby. Some team is going to get one of these 3 guys. Why can't we be the team to get Camby? He'd be absolutely perfect for us.

Tyler Hans or Budinger would be my guess. They're Hammond and Skiles type players.

So we should worry about a replacement SG in 2 years? How about a starting power forward or ANY power forward THIS year?

Because we have two wings making $30 million putting us in cap hell.

Absolutely. Not sure if I really want him though. I would seriously consider Earl Clark at 10 if he can come in and play the 4. Which I am not sure he is capable of doing.

Got to love trying to do the initial mock draft 6 minutes after the fact. Impossible.

Earl Clark would be great. If not, Holliday, Steph Curry, Evans if he falls?

I kind of like Jennings too. I think he's going to be like Mayo in last years draft. A guy that was hyped coming out of HS, fell as the season went on, then rose up the boards fast as the draft approached.

I don't really think the Buck's are going to take a chance on him. He was on twitter and responded that "it's all about the second contract, and getting PAID". I really don't like that attitude, but it's the truth with most of these young guys.

Well, if it's between a player like Jennings who is all about the second contract or a player like Potsie who is all about sit ups I'll take the second contract player

I would like Tyreke Evans. Not sure how many others here would like him also, but I really like his game and how he runs the floor.

Probably won't be there at 10 though anyway.

We most likely will go with JRue, or DeRozen.

The ESPN Lottery thing kept telling me Jrue Holliday, so that guy.

As for 41, expect a Golden Eagle or a Badger

Omri Casspi. He looks like a Hammond/Skiles type guy based on his youtube clips.

Trade for as many 2nd round picks as possible, best chance at getting the next Brook Lopez.

Think McNeal and Matthews are working out for the Bucks either tomorrow or Thursday. Would love to see Matthews in a Bucks uni next year

Whoever we pick, I hope it's not with a rigid, myopic objective like landing a shooting guard to replace Redd or a player that can contribute right away because we need to make the playoffs next year and wash the bad taste out of fan's mouths from the Potsie pick.

My top 7 at 10 is:

1. DeMar DeRozan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0lYTm2tF9U
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I-ywLk3860

To calm concerns about DeRozan's handle, outside shot, and scoring diversity:

July 7, 2007: DeRozan is looking to distinguish himself as the top shooting guard here at camp, and his performance in the first game Saturday did nothing to disprove that notion. While he is certainly a volume shooter, the future Trojan hit just about everything he put up, from all angles of the floor. He is just so creative when he has the ball in his hands, weaving in and out of traffic throughout the lane and finishing with either hand near the rim. Demar shot the ball well from beyond the arc nearly out to the NBA three point range.

July 10, 2007: "DeRozan continued to show everyone in attendance why he is the top shooting guard in the nation, as he honestly looked like an NBA wing out there with high school kids on Sunday. As far as scoring is concerned, there isn’t much that he didn’t show out there. The USC recruit shot the ball from three-point range (both off of the dribble and from a standstill), got to the rim at will, and was downright money from midrange."

2. Austin Daye

3. Terrence Williams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXFhUWQ38H8

4. Earl Clark
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnsnVS7Epb8

5. Eric Maynor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDuf1vuhM5Q

6. Tywon Lawson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGmJUk4sVOw

7. Jrue Holiday
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXVuaMLcaTA

If they happen to fill a need or have the ability to start right away, then it's a bonus. But that should be a secondary objective.
