The 24-year-old played for Jokerit of Finnish Elite League in 2007-08, leading the team in scoring with 77 points (28 goals and 49 assists) in 55 games.

Leino recently received the Oskanen Award, given annually to the league's best player in the regular season. He finished second in league scoring (77 points), second in plus-minus rating (plus-34) and third in goals scored (28).

Looks like he will be a great little addition to our system. He looks like a pretty decent two way player who should be a interesting 3rd line C for us next year. I hope he is a possible Johan Franzen or "diamond in the rough" signing for us.

You're right about our depth. We have quite a few guys in the AHL who would be playing on most other NHL teams. I don't know much about this guy, but I'm always happy to add talent and we do seem to have a great record at finding players in other countries.
