Thoughts so far on the season?

Post#1 » by Mr Swagtastic » Fri Oct 24, 2008 5:14 pm

Is it me or is Holmstrom (Homer) one of the best role players in the last little while? He takes abuse from every netminder and just stands there and takes it. I wonder what the back of his legs look like.

He already has 7 goals and is on pace for 85 this year. I mean wow he's been our best player so far. I think Zetterberg has been great but Homer is the guy thats been helping us the most.

Thoughts

Sorry its been so long to respond.

Great start, pretty much what i expected. Samuelsson has been real solid thusfar, and Homer appears to have hit his stride again. All in all, nothing out of the ordinary

TORONTO (TICKER) —The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday placed right wing Darren McCarty on waivers, according to a report from TSN of Canada.

Does this mean he will be going to the minors? Or he is gone? cuz if he is gone i will be angry

I think we need a goalie if anything. If we do indeed loose Hossa this offseason I would love to snag Ryan Miller of the Barfalo Sabers he would look damn good here. Ozzie looks all but done in a year or two and Ty is well Ty a guy who is a short term fix and a good backup.

I thank God that we have a great defensive core and a defensive minded club. Scottie you will always be the best Head Coach we ever had thanks for the cups, great system and for the memories!

Yeah you guys need a goalie in the worst way. If I was your GM, I'd actually try to flip Osgood to a bad team who has a prospect goalie, and try to squeeze a pick out of it too. Toronto overvalues their players way too much, so Pogge is out of the question, but he would look awesome in Detroit.

The kings are full of prospect goalies worth looking at, but a- you guys want to win now, and b- we'd want a scorer in return.

Well we do have a ton of scorers. But in all reality i doubt we would trade for a project type player, we would want somebody established

I don't think we need anybody this season next year I would look at Gerber rumors have Toronto axing him in favor of Poggie and Toskala as their rotation.
