As I said in the other thread, this should be a great series. We just have to hope that our goalies stand up and do their job, and that we can pressure some of their young stars like Toews and Kane. We have a veteran team, so we need to use that experience to our advantage.

Great start. I thought that today we were clearly the better team. They can skate, and looked pretty quick in transition, but I thought we did a good job defensively. We did a nice job slowing down their big guns, and a great job of staying out of the penalty box (which is going to be a big factor all series). Osgood was very good, the first goal was pretty fluky, and the second he had no chance. He had some big stops down the stretch of the third.

I can't say how impressed I am with our secondary scoring. No one can touch us depth wise and it showed again today. Game 2 is massive. If we can take that their backs will really be against the wall, and will put some doubt in their minds, something Vancouver couldn't do.

I think this again is our year. I don't think you can teach what we have. I am not saying our coaching is bad or anything. I love the mix we have we are tough when need to be but don't goon it up. Great to see the Wings doing what we do best win games.

Good comeback but tough way to lose. We got unlucky with Lindstrom breaking his stick on the last goal but the Hawks played a good game overall. All we needed was a split of the Chicago games so not all is lost.

Hopefully we can get Dats back for game 4. We need his D and even if he isn't scoring, the Hawks still have to pay a lot of attention to him on offense.

DOMINATION.

So Sweet. Hopefully Osgood is OK, and it was just a rest thing. Big time game from Hossa, hopefully he can carry this over into game 5 and beyond, especially if Dats is out. I'm interested in hearing what happened to Nic, its bad enough if we lose his skill/leadership if he's out but it also forces us to go to 5 D since Babcock obviously has no intention of playing Chelios.

I think we'll finish it off in 5. If today's game is any indication I don't see the Hawks being mentally tough enough to take a game in Detroit. Good job by the guys not retaliating when Chicago started their crap.

Tonight is the night Wings can return to the Finals. Gotta take care of business at home, even if we're missing Lidstrom and Datsyuk.

I want a repeat of last years Stanley Cup Finals, results and all!!

Rematch.

This series was easier then I thought it would be. Osgood was awesome and Helm is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

Osgood is all class.
