It averages out to 3.95 mill/year according to MLive. Thats pretty cheap if ya ask me

That's really cheap. I like it, even if he somehow falls off the face of the earth it won't hurt the team too much. He probably could have got a higher paying salary but I guess he wanted the long-term security.

Yeah I have to go with that, Franzen is a good player and I guess he took a hometown discount to play for us ala Hossa last year.

Yeah, he could have got more had he wanted to leave, but I'm glad he's sticking around.
