Very nice start for the boys. I'm happy to see Osgood have a strong performance. Hopefully this gives him some confidence.
Nice game from Jiri too.

I think we take them in 5. Mason wasn't very good down the stretch so I don't think we'll have to worry about the first round upset this year.

Go Wings!

^^^ hopefully we'll get more people when the Wings get deeper and the Pistons get knocked out. The funny thing is that this is one of the more popular hockey boards haha

Men against boys tonight. We completely outclassed them. You could tell they were frustrated the whole game and it was good to see the boys not let up. I think we have them pretty discouraged. I'm sure Columbus will be a better team at home but I think we're in their heads. If we take game 3 I think we'll sweep. Hopefully that's the case so we can rest up before we play Van City or whoever it ends up being (hopefully the Ducks  ).

Loved what I saw from Dats tonight. Columbus was taking shots at him all game but he played physical and had a couple big hits. The goal wasn't bad either. The powerplay looked good all game, but we've got to hit the net more. We blew some chances on that 5 on 3 in the 3rd.

Great couple games for Chris. Not that he had much to do tonight but he was solid again.

Just wanted to add that I'm a fan of the Jackets' announcers. I watched the Ohio feed and they're a very unbiased and knowledgeable pair. They didn't try to sugar coat it for the Jackets and were really complementary of the Wings (although it would be hard to be anything but complementary tonight).

Wow.
Gotta love the Wings, a truly unappreciated franchise...

Its great to have something to cheer for with the economy and the pistons in a recession.
I'm gonna watch the playoffs this year a lot more closely.

GO WINGS!

Wings are playing right now, no doubt. I really thought Columbus would be more of a challenge, but that hasnt proved the case.

If Osgood keeps this up, we cannot be stopped

We took their best shot tonight and still won 4-1. Solid first 2 periods, but a little shaky 3rd. Great game by Osgood, his confidence has got to be high right now. This series really couldn't have started any better and has been much easier then I think most people (including myself) anticipated.
Hopefully we can finish it up Thursday and get some rest.

I've been watching the games but haven't really been on this forum.

I'm supporting my Wings have enjoyed every game thus far. The shut out was amazing. Watching all of Joe Louis Arena get up and chant "Ozzy" was outstanding.

Red Wings just look dominant. They are dictating the games so far. I expect more resistance series after series. but not a bad start at all.
