As Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick finished the next-to-last year on his current deal, he capped it off with a Vezina Trophy nomination, Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy. He was a very big reason in the Kings turning around their season and the team has invested heavily in its franchise goaltender.
On Thursday afternoon the Kings announced that Quick had agreed to a 10-year extension. The total value is worth $58 million, per RDS' Renaud Lavoie. The deal kicks in at the start of the 2013-14 season.
