Only difference between the two right now is that the Raps have won two straight...

I wouldn't trade Kovalev right now - we wouldn't get much for him.

Seems like some bogus offer came in from Anaheim: Pronger, Neidermeyer, Giguere for Pleks, Higgins and Price. Look insane on paper but I don't see why Anaheim does it and I wouldn't give up on Price that early. Plus Needs is retiring after this season. . .

That's a horrible trade for the Habs. We are giving up our future for a few guys who are just about past their prime or even past their time.

Funny how well Pleks and Andrei are playing since Kovy is gone.

On the PP, I agree. But he always generates the most chances when he has the puck. Guys just need to move around move to the net when he's dancing in the circle with it. They did it last year and haven't so far this season.

Sad that it takes a benching for someone to smarten up at his age. Great game though.

Yeah it was very encouraging to see him play like that. What I found the most impressive about his play was on the defensive end of things, not the offensive. Sure he played great offensively, but did you see his effort on the 5 on 3 penalty kill, and the steal he got by causing pressure in the offensive zone? He's very capable at being a great 2 way player, and I hope to see alot more of that sort of effort!

Kovalev is top 5 in the NHL, WHEN he wants to play.

If he's not motivated, he cruises. When he's fired up though, no one better.

2 word:

Jaroslav Halak!

Price must be feeling the heat right now, the way that Jaro is playing. Heck of another GREAT game by Jaro, he's really carrying this team on his back right now.

Love that Halak is stepping up huge. Now Price can stop with all the partying and focus on playing.

In other news, Laraque has come out to say that if he doesn't get more playing time, he wants to be traded.

Maybe learn to play hockey and stay out of the damn penalty box and you will see more time on the ice.

Has he really come out and said that? Lol, what a tool. And who ever said "we need a veteran presence as a back up" ?? Pfft, we don't need a vet. presence at all. We've got two young extremely talented goalies! :)

He said if he knew he was going to come to Montreal as a limited role player, he wouldn't have signed here. And that he wants more PT, because if he's going to get limited time he wants out.

I say get rid of him. Useless, anyways.

He said they took it out of context but Carbo and Koivu already fired back at him. With Begin traded and Dandy asking to be as well, I think BGL stays this year.

I'm going to miss Begin but Stewert is younger and doing the same things but better.

Just picked up Metropolit off waivers. Nice small move by Gainey. He doesn't score much but from all the times he's played against us he's been a pain in the ass.

Ohhh man. Big time rumors about Guerin coming to Montreal right now; it's all over the radio stations at the moment. That would be in-****ing-credible.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't foresee anything big doing down, just a few minor deals.
