2008-2009 Regular Season: Game Thread

Post#1 » by Snayr » Wed Nov 12, 2008 10:03 am

Alright guys, I figured instead of having a new game thread every game, we may as well just create one massive one for the regular season. Feel free to add gfx in here for a certain game or whatever. It's all up to you.

Anyways, to start it off... Heck of an awesome game tonight. First time the Habs have played a full 60 mins this season and it paid off with a 4-0 win. Excellent games by Price and Higgins especially!

We made some poor decisions with the puck and We didn’t take advantage of the early power plays....

We didn't show up aside from 5 mins in the 3rd period. Only Hab to actually show up was Halak, he was the reason this was a 1 goal difference. The two goals he did let in had no way of staying out, there was no chance.

Habs are looking bad right now, and it may be time to shake things up a little bit.

I hate Carolina! There such a garbage ass team, and as if the bruins are actually good this year. That philly game sucked too. MTL seemingly just can't match up against them...

We gots to get the PP going. One of the best in the league over the last few years, and we suck this year, hopefully the 1 pp goal we got tonight can help us to get it kick started... But man this offense is struggiling. But even inspite of all the struggles recently, where presently in 5th but 4 pts out of 2nd, and you know the bruins wont be there all year...

Go habs go!!

sorry for dissapearing Snayr, I just don't care about hockey that much... I follow the habs and cheer for them ofcourse, but to actually come and post... meh, u know what i'm sayin... keep on rockin the nights though man!!

We definately need a shake up, whether it be the lines or actually making some trades. Our defense is so awful and what was our best line last season has been one of our worst this time around.

Gainey will supposedly have a Press Conference this week to announce a 4-5 year extension to Komisarek, which is nothing but good news. Now we have to see if he'll pull the trigger on getting Gaborik, Kovalchuk or Bouwmeester.

ahhhh another beauty win by les habitans over the sens. I love beating the sens. Almost more than the leafs. I have alot of friends that are sens fans and it's always good stickin it to them. Ohhhh how the times have changed. Definetely good news on the Komisarek extension as well. A top 5 defensemen in the league today, and you can never have enough of those

Yeah... sorry guys, yet again been quite busy with finals a few weeks away and my final papers. Anyways, Komi out for 1 month = ouch. Was nice to see us stick out the win vs. Ottawa, but those are games we should be winning easier than we are. We are REALLY labouring out there game in and game out and not looking very sharp what-so-ever.

Nice to see ya around here a little Spyke! :)

Awesome ceremony for Roy tonight. Looks like I may need to put together the 350$ and finally get myself an authentic St. Patrick uni!

WHOA-EM-GEE, sick save by Price. Wide open net and robs Ryder in every way possible.

Woooo! 1-0!

Nice work by Markov and Lang keeping it in, then AK46 finishing it up.

The boys finally put together a solid game! Albeit vs. the class of the NHL, the Red Wings. I'm proud of the boys tonight and hope they can build on it. I feel bad for Price losing his shutout due to a ridiculously bone-headed turnover by O'Byrne. That kid is having a tough time...

Went to the game last night versus the Sabres. :D Free food all night and managed to get my hand on one of only 217 tuques signed by Kovalev. Woop woop!

Great game by the Habs vs. the Flames last night, great to see them bounce back from that loss to the Devils. I hate watching games vs. the Devils, it seems to put me to sleep every time lol.

Dandenault out for a while - somehow that check he got last night broke his arm. Higgins may be out for a bit too - which I hope isn't true.

Yeah we're dropping like flies and losing heartbreaking games. Kovalev really needs to step up bigtime.

****in eh, these refs are really up Carolina's ass tonight. 4 minutes left in the second period and we have 9 penalties called against us to 1 called against them - which was a penalty shot for Gui that he scored on. Without that and Kovalev's short hander I'd be really pissed.
