4/3. MIN wins, OKC loses. Everyone has six games left.

53-23 MIN: @PHX, @LAL, WAS, @DEN, ATL, PHX
53-23 DEN: @LAC, ATL, @UTA, MIN, @SAS, @MEM

52-24 OKC: @IND, @CHA, SAC, SAS, MIL, DAL

Suns desperately need a win Friday. Add a game in the standings and they are in the 5th spot, avoiding the Play In Tournament. Drop a game and they could be the 9th seed, and need two wins in the Play In to make the Playoffs. LAC is the 4th seed, trying to hold off DAL, 2 games back. IND is tied with MIA at 6/7, hoping to avoid the Play in too.

And just to mention, we have clinched a top 4 seed. Guaranteed home court in the first round.

Even more incredible, Wolves clinched 2nd best regular season record in franchise history with 52 win. Hard to imagine we watched so many seasons of bad basketball. If they get the 3rd seed, it will be 2nd highest seed in team history. If they just make it to second round, it will be the second best post record in franchise history, so, getting that 3rd or 4th seed is important for this franchise.

Would like to avoid either Lakers or Mavs...both the teams have been playing well post-ASB and both the teams have playoff proven stars. At this point, sadly Lakers seem like the most likely first round opponent though

I'm not sure how you identify anyone as most likely at this point. Wolves could still easily be 1-3, Lakers could be anywhere from 5 to out of the playoffs. Right now they would have to win 2 play-in games just to get the 8th seed. I don't really have a preferred opponent though, there are no gimme's in the Western Conference.

Playing any injured team in first round would be great. For full strength teams, seems like the only team we are confident with are SAC and GSW.

Just looking at the schedules, I feel like Nuggets have a better chance of finishing No1 seed than Wolves..key game is the one against Denver but it's a road B2B game for Wolves whereas Nuggets would be well rested. So I am basically thinking Wolves might end season as No2 seed and Lakers to finish as 7th seed after winning first play-in game (Lakers are just 1 game away from entering 7th-8th seed territory, Pels & Kings have been sliding)

SAC did beat us 2 out of 3 times - once without Fox (who kills us).

Yes, there is just no easy team. I think Monk and Huerter are out, so it will be easier.

Nuggets at Clippers tonight.

We could really, really, (really), use a Clippers win.

I won’t watch though. I can’t root for those guys.

4/4. Thanks LAC. DEN loses a close one.

53-23 MIN: @PHX, @LAL, WAS, @DEN, ATL, PHX

53-24 DEN: ATL, @UTA, MIN, @SAS, @MEM

52-24 OKC: @IND, @CHA, SAC, SAS, MIL, DAL

Nuggets have a pretty easy schedule except for facing us, and MIN can’t expect more help from their future opponents.

Friday: Thunder at Pacers. Pacers are only a half game ahead of the Heat, and a game in front of the surging Sixers, to avoid the Play In. Shai is out, est. return on 4/7. Jalen Williams and Myles Turner are game time decision.

Timberwolves at Suns: suns are playing better lately, and finally climbed up to 6th and out of the play in. However, they are one of five teams 5-9 separated by 2.5 games. They will play hard. Nurkic and Grayson Allen are game time decisions. Suns need both.

Looking like the playoff matchups are as follows

Wolves vs Pels or Lakers
Nuggets vs Pels or Lakers
OKC vs Suns
Clippers vs Mavs

Wolves and Denver as well as play in teams are in flux for seeding.

4/5. MIN lays an egg in PHX, but OKC drops one in Indy too.

53-24 MIN: @LAL, WAS, @DEN, ATL, PHX

53-24 DEN: ATL, @UTA, MIN, @SAS, @MEM

52-25 OKC: @CHA, SAC, SAS, MIL, DAL

Five games left for everyone. Hawks at DEN tonight. ATL is locked into the 9-10 slot, a game behind CHI, but if they can catch them, they get home court advantage, so they have something to play for. Tre Young is out, Jokic, Murray and Gordon are all GTD.

Depends on Karl. Without him 65-35 we win. With a 80%+ Karl 80-20 we win.

Can you believe that even after last nights DEBACLE we are still first in the West. Hard to believe we can be leading as we are #12 in PPG, but #1 in defense and point differential. Go Wolves. Bring it home.

I'm an Arizona resident and you don't represent our state very well. We saw your laughing face the first time. Do you think winning a game against us last night means anything? It doesn't.

I expect Jokic to play as long as the games have any meaning. Murray has been out a long time.

We really need to finish second to have a good chance to pass the first round because Suns looks like will be 6th and we won't drop to 4th. Hopefully a Wolves win in LA tomorrow, catching LAL on a back2back.
