I think we still can play above average defense this year, even without PoA defender. We need to add more effort on defensive boards, limit TOs (hence opponent fastbreaks).

So both our half-court offense and half-court defense rank in top10 this season but awful transition offense and defense are dragging down overall efficiency.

The west is really bad right now, we have a chance to still be a good seed very quickly if we can go on a run in the next two weeks. We shouldn't but we do. AFter last night we are in 8th. We can be 5th or 6th in handful of games if we keep winning.

The wolves have SOOO many bad losses to teams that are trying to tank if they had won even half of those they would be top 3 lol

Most teams in the West have multiple losses to bad/"tanking" teams early in the season.

Just a sampling of the bad losses...
Detroit has beaten: Warriors (x2), Nuggets, Mavericks, Timberwolves
Oklahoma City has beaten Clippers (x2), Mavericks (x2), Timberwolves, Grizzlies
Houston has beaten: Mavericks, Suns (x2)
San Antonio has beaten: Timberwolves (x2)

I don't think West is bad....it just has lot of decent-good teams but there isn't any standout team like the West in the past. I thought Clippers would be that team pre-season but Kawhi, PG just seemed to be way too injury prone. Also, unlike the past, we just have two bad teams in the West when we typically used to have atleast 3+ bad teams every season
