We are gonna just get BLASTED next year..we have zero defense. Umm Mchale look at your old team, the one who just won the championship. How'd they win it???? Defense. That's right, defense wins championships.

We now have a defense that can't stop anybody and an offense that can't make up for it.

Mayo must've made it clear he wouldn't play in MN under any circumstance. That's the only way this makes sense.

I think this is the end of this franchise in Minnesota. People are going to be awfully angry, shocked, and frustrated tomorrow morning. I wish I went to bed earlier and hadn't found out. Terrible day, terrible night. This is something I might not be able to get over.

Is there a depression/suicidal smiley on RealGM?

How can we have such a dumass running the Team?

Mchale is a 100 percent dumass

Atleast we still have the vikings but maybe Glen Taylor will buy the vikings and hire Mchale and he will screw us up there too

Omg Minnesota sports are on the downfall even as we speak

YEs, add to this Portland getting much better and filling a need hugely with Bayless, it makes it that much harder to swallow.

If we want to trade Mike Miller, we have 24 hours right? And we have to do it seperately.

As a timberwolves fan I have grown accustomed to taking it up the arse. This one is going to cause me to have to shop at Sam's Club, that way I can buy my KY in bulk. I might be a Milwaukee fan shortly.

NBA.com/timberwolves need to take OJ's face off there before I cry and end up going to a gun store and engraving a bullet with McFaggots name on it.

What was he going to do ,go play in Europe for the rest of his career?.The Wolves would have had his rights until he would have graduated college.

So he had absolutely no leverage in the situation.

Ya I wish i would've went to bed sooner. The crap from the other board was just coming up and a few sniffings on our board about this deal when i went to be a little nervous. So i left ESPN on to make sure we didn't eff up this draft and what do you know WE DID. Now i pry won't be able to sleep until at least 2am maybe just all night.

What's the point of keeping Big Al? This kind of move is counterproductive and will set this franchise up for failure in the longterm. Love is too undersized and not strong enough on defense for it to work.

You might as well give away Al Jefferson away and fold this franchise. I find myself getting angrier by the minute just thinking about it.

Do you think this means ticket prices will go down?

Haha my friend came up with this:

Minny sends: Antoine Walker, Marko Jaric, Greg Buckner, and Rights to OJ Mayo
Memphis sends: Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins, and Rights to Jared (The Subway guy out of UCLA).

buckner and walker have the equivalent of 1 mil buyouts for '09.

I can't believe after watching the celtics beat the crap out of the lakers with DEFENSE we actually went and made our team INCREDIBLY WORSE on D.

I truly believe fred was lied to and that mcHale somehow convinced Taylor to this after much bickering. That's why it took so long, otherwise it would've been done after the #5 pick.

And what they did with the 2nd rounders, oh my how awful they screwed that up.

We came away with:
Love, Mike Miller, the 2nd coming of fran vasquez, 2 worthless '09 2nds

Portland came away with:
Bayless, Batum, Mike Taylor, 3 future 2nds

Seattle came away with:
Westbrook, Ibaka, DJ White, Hardin

Clippers came away with:
Gordon, DeAndre Jordan.

And we had far better assets to starts out with.
I'd trade our draft for any of those 3.

Man I hope for their sake gomes and telfair don't sign long term here.

:o Is it really happening again? Wolves' management still manages to amaze even after all these years.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
