We do, it's our choice of 2008 or 2009, so will obviously be 2009.

i am not sure what ip is ... but that list of pups is looking decent. Most of them have nice potential and it would be hard to figure out which one to trade until the end of the season. If we are building around foye and al jeff we should at least wait and see which pups play well with foye

revprodeji wrote:3 spots for our picks, so that is 12 remaining spots. (unless someone goes overseas) (btw, I thought we only had 2 spots, we owe Detroit a second I thought)

15-rookie
14-rookie
13-rookie
12-Walker
11-Jaric
10-Buckner
9-Foye
8-Brewer
7-Al
6-Madsen
5-Shad

Which leaves us 4 spots left to

-Resign Bassy or a vet pg (even if we draft a pg in the second I want a vet)
-resign Gomes and Smith. I think we at least need to try this.
-resign Richard if he shows anything. So far I like him but we never see him.

That gives us 15

Cut Doleac, Green, Theo

Did I miss something?

we owe dteriot either a 08 or a 09 pick our choice

I doubt the Wolves keep both 2nds this year - I bet they sell one for cash and a future 2nd like they did with Bobby Jones, especially since they won't have a 2nd in 09.

Bassy is interesting to me. he is only 22 so it is almost like we just draft him. He could make a fine back-up. Which is an underrated position. Give him a short contract if he is willing to sign it. if not then there is no lose. But giving him a chance would be nice.

I honestly see us trading them up for a late 1st to a team that does not want a promised contract.

Money, roster space, not wanting to develop three rookies at once... if it's 31 and 32, tempting to keep, but if Miami puts so wins together and its 31 and 38... not so much.

If we do plan on making a trade towards the deadline we can put one of those 2nd's in as a sweetner also.

Hell, if it's 32 and there's a guy the Spurs, Suns, Pistons, or some team like that likes, they might trade a future 1st for it.

The suns are known for ditching their 1st rd picks, (19th right now) Portland will either need to release talent or lose their pick (21st)

They don't acquire it all at once. This is a multi year project, and there's only 15 spots on the roster, and the Wolves are still going to be dangerously close to the lux next season. I'm not saying I want them to trade that pick, I'm saying I think it's likely.

I think McHale wil lonly take two young guys from the draft. He has said that he thinks we are too young.
