Our star is Al Jefferson, and we just used our best asset to get someone who plays the same position.

No, keeping Mayo means giving up on McCants, not Foye. There's 20 threads on this.

Well, that's it for me. I'm now completely done with Timberwolves' basketball

That's my feeling as well. I would have rather picked 4, 5 or 6 than be the team that trades away OJ Mayo. Ray Allen, B Roy and now OJ Mayo. Dear God do I hate Kevin McHale.
We lucked out getting OJ and to do this is devastating to me as a fan.

I have never desired to kick a man in the nuts but if I ever meet Kevin I would like to return the favor.

Mayo > Love. You do not pair Love in the frontcourt with Jefferson. That's a defensive nightmare for the Wolves.

Miller, Cardinal, Collins and whatnot do not matter because they aren't going to be around when/if the Wolves start winning.

I just don't get this at all. I'm not a Wolves fan, but I really wanted to see OJ in a wolves jersey. OJ+Jefferson would of been deadly. Oh McHale...you f*ck up.

Foye is still on the team.... you forgot about him already? Foye is basically a Mayo clone ... Mayo just has better defense...

Just doesn't make sense as Love is a PF only and that's Al's best position. If we're willing to trade Walker, I would think we could get a bigman.

Too much crap coming back for a decent player in Miller.

No kidding. It didn't up great but, it could have been much worse. Plus Devilz should now be a mod for saying Love should be the Wolves pick for so long.

Tonight we witnessed the death of this franchise.
I will not even watch them on TV next year or check the box scores.
This is beyond anything I imagined in my worst nightmares about what would happen tonight.

They should contract this franchise or move it to seattle. I'm dead serious.
Taylor no longer deserves to own an NBA franchise.

no, it was clear that Mayo didn't want to come in minny.
actually I think McHale did pretty good in those circumstanses.
he didn't panic, drafted the BPA, then made a trade targeting two main weaknesess of his team: bigman and outside shooting.
face it, it was Marbury situation all over again.
and Love actually will like Minnesota, he'll complements Al Jefferson, he's intelligent, he's a great rebounder, great passer, smart team defender, he can shoot the 3 and will compete every night.
with Love and Miller you just can't double Big Al in the post.

My reaction exactly.

Did it really take them an hour after the draft is over to get this done. Geez, I feel bad for the fans who stopped watching thinking Mayo was a wolve.

Good luck in the future guys, hopefully love and jeff compliment each other well.
