This team is crazy

This might be my favorite win of the year too. To win on the road against a really well coached solid team is revealing. For years I've watched other great teams do what we did tonight.

We held them to 17 in the 3rd and 25 in the fourth. The leagues best 3 point shooting team, and they only scored 42 in the second half. It’s not just 3rd quarters anymore :)

total lock down in 2nd half by Wolves

Heat were making every shot they threw up the last 7 or so minutes, really no comparison in the shot quality between the teams in 4th

even Jim Petersen, who is quick to credit good offense either way, said about 4 times "you've got to be kidding me" at some of the Heat shots that went it in

Jaden has NAW after him if he fouls out.

Soreness loses again to Minnesota!

Don’t forget Karl and Rudy. That late game lob was sensational!

For some reason, the first thing that popped into my head was when the Sixers players all came back from rest/injuries and the Wolves won and DLO said "**** aint sweet"

When I heard Herro & Bam were back at the same time, that DLO quote just popped in my head

It's just a foul away from the ball.

Isn't there supposed to be a penalty for that during the last 2 minutes. It prevents the Hack a Rudy strategy. I'd like to see that play again. It seemed like he passed off well before they fouled him. Anybody else on this. Somebody who knows their rules real well.

Yeah, I was just thinking how everybody contributes however they can! I can think of big highlights for each Wolf that was critical at the moment.

We’re just a different Wolves team than I’ve ever seen!

Height is a huge advantage in basketball. If it wasn't teams wouldn't average over 6 feet tall.

We only allowed 42 points in the second half. And the Heat are a good team!

The Warriors were so dominant that people attributed it to small ball, not that they have two HOF shooters.

Any offense is going to look good with a healthy Steph and Klay, so people got it wrong trying to imitate them.

It's having big guys with talent and skill that's important, we have 2 guys that fit that mold in KAT and NAZ who can handle and shoot, switch, and close out on shooters that are really making it work. And your non-shooting big really has to be a difference maker defensively, and Rudy has definitely been that this year.

The era of playing 2 non-shooting big men is gone forever though and never coming back.

shrink wrote:NAW was +13 tonight, and it showed! What a steal to get him in the DLo-Conley trade, as a THROW IN!

While Jaden gets back to 100%, it’s crazy that I’m not worried at all to replace his defense with NAW!

I've said it so many times but I keep saying it was the greatest trade in Wolves history. Moving Dlo was addition by subtraction. Then we get 2 guys at the top of their game.

Mike Conley is no doubt the leader of this team. The players really listen to him. Especially Kat and Ant. Kat has benefited the most. Mike Conley is invaluable for us.

Not to mention NAW who fits his role perfectly.

The pieces on this team fit like a glove. So impressive.

Isn't Steph 6'5" and Klay 6'7". Not exactly short people. If they were 6'0 or shorter they wouldn't be hall of famers. Height is an advantage.

Great win definitly. If i play the grumpy fan, i would say that one more time, we start slow as it happen several nights but the second half was contender level. Good job !

If the talent is equal I'll take the taller guy over the shorter guy every time. Why? Because height is an advantage in basketball. Rudy also has talent and skill. It's just different talents and skills than KAT and NAZ.

Isn't there somebody here who can give a definitive answer about this?

If I’m reading it right…
An off ball foul within the last two minutes of any quarter should warrant two shots AND the ball.

Rudy is great!

REPORTER: I know you thought you’d be a good team at the end of the year, but 20-5?!? Are you kind of surprising yourself?

GOBERT: Eh, not really.
