Zach Lowe covered us on his pod today too. A lot of good stuff there.

Checked out our stats today and holy cow I was impressed.

6 of our top 7 rotation players are shooting over 50%, and over 55% shooting efficiency (KAT only one below at 42 and 48).
4 of those 7 guys are shooting 43% or better. from 3.

The offense has really come on after a rough first 3 games.

And I'm really excited that Gobert is proving me wrong this year and hope he can do it for the whole season and playoffs.
Finch is getting some stuff corrected scheme-wise and our spacing has been much better from the Denver game onward.

We are getting to the awkward 4 road games with GS then a b2b vs GSW and PHX. Finally @NOP after two days off. I hope Booker and McCollum are still out. I will be happy if we go 2-2. Which would set us up for a 10-6 start of a tough schedule. Hopefully Naz will be able play these next 4 games.

Have we ever started the season 7-2?

2001-02. We started 6-0. And then got it to 9-1.

(I guess we weren't technically ever 7-2 that season...)

So quite arguably this is the best start to a season we've had in over 20 years. Wow.

I'm not gonna lie this feels weird.

I don't care who we are playing and under what circumstances. 2-2 for 4 games will never make me happy.

At the time of this broadcast we were 5-2. We hadn't beat the Warriors on the road yet. As much as they liked us then they would like us even more now. Something so encouraging was we were able to beat the Warriors on the road despite ANT not being able to shoot straight.

If we have a 2-0 (or 2-1) lead in the NBA finals and go 2-2 over the next 4, I'll be more than thrilled...

I'd still rather we go 2-0 or 2-1, but under those circumstances I admit I wouldn't mind so much.

I have recently thought about one thing, both Gobert and Towns have been constantly gaslighted, mocked and hated in many ways:

- Towns for being soft, narrative after Butler soap drama (which I completely disagree with!) or for saying weird things in podcast (which partially agree are weird things)

- Gobert for being an outdated, low talented big in modern smallball era

They are both for sure goofy persons and polarizing players. But what I find even more frustrating is that even own fanbase last year had little patience. I get all the fair critique, but both Gobert and Towns gave 100% when they were on the floor. Right now it is so refreshing to see fans to appreciate a ton of hard work that both Gobert and Towns are putting to make this team success.

So I see this as potential motivation source, both Gobert and Towns needs this recognition from NBA media, but first and foremost from MIN fans. What happen when our bigs are supported and appreciated as they deserve? I have been saying that Gobert has been doing a lot of dirty job, he has been physical. Or Towns getting back in defense. These things are not spectacular at all, but might be a big difference
