Not hate, but he kills the spacing. When he and Rudy share the floor KAT’s drive and kick is wasted. They also play off of him and he rarely makes them pay. The effect is more than what shows up on the stat sheet.

But we literally win the time SlowMo was on the court.

So, the effect [of winning] is what goes beyond the stat sheet.

Or are you referencing something else?

Call it degree of difficulty. Plus minus rarely tells the whole story. When you have two non shooters the degree of difficulty for the shooters goes way up.

I am behind a bit 3:47 remaining in the 3rd. I just saw two plays that really tell the story. On the offensive end Kyle starts to drive, stops, throws out, and NAW takes a 3. The paint was packed. Then on the defensive possession Kyle makes a beautiful block and gets the ball for the Wolves. I am not trying to say he doesn’t have value. I am saying that our offense pays a steep price for that value. If Kyle could shoot the 3 at 32% he might draw a defender, but at 10% they win every time he attempts one. When Kyle and Rudy share the offensive options go way down and the degree of difficulty way up. Sometimes that goes our way sometimes it doesn’t, but I think we struggle more with offense than defense.

So we do better when there's a higher degree of difficulty. :noway:

Ticky tack foul against Rui. We were due for one to be called our way.

This DLo performance reminds me how glad I am that he’s not on this team anymore.

It feels like we turned up the defense, and if we could just make a couple more three’s, we could get to a comfortable lead.

Inspite of, not because of. In case you didn’t notice, we have some really good players. But it does limit the options leading to missed opportunities.

That was one of the most beautiful steals I have ever seen by Conley. Rudy doing Rudy things on the other end.

I am at 8:25 left in the fourth. This lineup is so big. The skyline just towers over Mike.

Yes! I also loved that after the steal, he stopped in the corner briefly and dribbled once between his legs.

Kind of like taking a bow, so the crowd could appreciate the play. And it didn’t feel cocky.
