Elite game tonight.Defense was so good from both teams. Harden got horibble data because of people presssure him a lot. Rudy was DPOY level again (he hit the important FT at the end). Mike was clearly not 100%, he probably not have play if it was not an important game. Still some silly TO but we fight a lot. Slomo was huge ! Ant too. We make a statement tonight.

Damn right it was.

Stupid turnovers almost killed us and tarnished a great effort by the guys.

I wasn't able to watch tonight, but great win over the almost unbeatable Clippers. Held the Clippers big 3 to 18-52 shooting. Based on nothing but the box score Ant and Rudy were insane and KAT was good. I'm going to hopefully enjoy catching up on the posts.

16-2 at home. 28-11 on the season. Still #1 in the west.

We made it way more difficult than it needs. Got to close games a little better. Still a great win

A win is a win is a win is a win is a win.
Maybe even a little nicer against the Clippers. :D

Blazers have a small chance to come back and beat the Suns, would be icing on the cake for tonight.

Great defensive effort tonight.
Ant and Jaden tremendous job on Leonard and George, getting through all the actions they were running, staying attached, keeping them out of the paint, not putting them on the line. Just tremendous.
Jaden had 4 turnovers, but if we can get consistent efforts like this from him going forward, it's going to be huge.

Also Conley good job on Harden, and KAT and Rudy were great flying around on the perimeter.

Great aggressive game from Rudy on both ends, and 6/8 FT's in the 4th quarter after an awful 1/6 start including shooting one about 7 feet, could have easily crumbled after that.

We do give up a lot of open 3's, and Powell was a flamethrower tonight, he always seems to play well against us.

Ant had a huge 3rd quarter to build us a big lead, and then an awful 4th quarter.
Another game with several extra sloppy turnovers in crunch time, uncharacteristic from him.
We are used to the bad shots there though.
Still way too many possessions where he is trying to take on an entire loaded up defense all by himself.
But 33 points on 16 FGA against an all-world defender like Leonard, you have to like that.

We had a 17 point lead with a little less than 6 minutes left, and if the game had gone another minute or two we probably lose.
We had one made FG in the last 4 minutes (McDaniels 3 pointer), 4 FT from Rudy and 2 FT from Ant.
That's not going to be enough to close out most teams.

It's nice to see Kyle being a positive out there again, and hitting a 3 pointer.
I thought Finch was a little short with the bench though, only 14 minutes for Naz.

George was 5/19, and Harden 4/14, well below their usual shooting, but I also give our defense a tremendous amount of credit for that because most of those shots were pretty tightly contested.

Overall a pretty good showing in a playoff type atmosphere.
I thought the Clippers missed Zubac's screening and rebouding ability a bit, but it's not like its a huge dropoff from him to Theis/Plumlee.
I don't know that Harden is a top 20 player anymore, it looks like age and hard living have robbed him of a lot of explosiveness.
Westbrook is still productive, but I think the Clippers are probably better off just cutting him and removing all the baggage.

Isn't it ironic that Westbrick is the one mocking Gobert on FTs? The guy known to shoot a few airball FTs himself. It's great to see Gobert redeemed himself with 4 in a row in clutch time. He needs to improve more (not sure if it's possible) so it's less a liability.

agree with the guys that the "big picture" take away is the importance of Reid given that close games, good chance Rudy might have to be subbed out at times

The beauty of having all three is you can play whoever is playing the best...and if one is in foul trouble, you're not really hurting.

Westbrook is a 65% ft shooter. Gobert is 62%.

Both are bad. Only one guy seems to realize it.
