If healthy and back to his old self, a very good backup pg for Conley. Can score both driving and 3s, good ball handler and floor general. Cant defend but not as needed with this elite team defense.

Shake was awful for us (expexted to be 6th man scorer but misses everything) and Troy Brown jr good guy but was outside our rotation whole season almost (wish he got more minutes liked his effort). So essentially getting rotation PG for 2 guys that didn't get minutes is solid move.

I said Connelly wouldn't wait until the last day. Good move I think. I hope it's not our early second from this year.

I like this trade - Morris is safe PG who will run the second unit beautifully

I like the move. We create flexibility too.

It is not finish...Cmon TC!!

Finally.

You guys have heard me go on and on about this trade for two months. I’ll just remind people that it gives us Bird rights on Monte in case we can’t bring back Mike Conley, and that we may look to the buy out market to add players since our roster is down to 13.

No. This was Jokic's teammate for years.

Look up his Denver film, you guys. He is exactly what we need. The only lingering question is the injury recovery.

Honestly, he might even end up Conley's heir apparent.

I appreciate your optimism, but want to temper it a little. Morris has been injured most of the year. Since coming back he has played poorly. He's not a spring chicken. He might not regain what he was.

No he isn't one of the knuckle head bruisee twins lol by far one of the biggiest idiots in the association.

It's this small scoring floor general PG. He was very good in Denver years, gotten bit forgotten since he went to Pistons (it happens to everyone going there lol):

Having his bird rights is key. He may turn out as ideal useful backup like NAW has become.

But indeed it's way too soon to talk about Conley heir scenarios. Let's see how he looks in our Jersey.

I had hopes for Shake to be as good scorer as he was for Philly and he turned out to be one of the worst guards wolves had in some time.

The last several weeks have left a dirty taste in my mouth with losses to Chicago, San Antonio, Charlotte but THIS, this is sweet!

Hang the banner now!

That's just fine by me. It only lowers his bargaining power come the offseason, a la Nickeil last summer. Might be able to get another bargain!

And he is a Michigan native who went to college in Ames, Iowa and has played professionally in Denver and Detroit. Minneapolis should feel right at home for him, culturally. I don't see him wishing for warmer weather.

One of Morris’ biggest strengths is taking care of the ball. His assist-to-turnover ratio as a senior at Iowa State was better than 5:1, and he has never averaged more than 1.0 turnovers per game in the NBA. That will be a major boost to the Wolves, who are 28th in the league in turnovers per game, the biggest reason their offense is stuck at 19th and they continue to lose big leads in the fourth quarter.

His 3 point shooting has been shockingly good lately lol. Whoever taught a non shooter like him shoot suddenly needs to work on Slowmo too.

He had a quad injury (generally not a chronic or career threatening injury) and didn't really have a role on the worst team in the league, so he wasn't rushed back.

He's played 68 minutes with teammates that's he's never played with before. He should look rusty.

He's 28 years old with a game that is not based on being an uber athlete. I'm not worried about Father Time at this point.
