If you want to watch the late games, the standings are

6. 48-32 NOP
7. 47-33 PHX

8. 46-35 LAL

9. 45-35 SAC
10 44-35 GSW

NOP over GSW 82-66
SAC over PHX 54-45

If these scores hold up, the record going into Sunday will be

6. 49-32 NOP
—————————
7. 47-34 PHX
8. 46-35 LAL
9. 46-35 SAC
10 44-36 GSW

Worth mentioning: The only way we are the No. 3 is if we lose and they both win.

Pels win tonight is likely. The Suns have the tie breaker, but a suns loss secures the Pels at 6.

How odd is it that OKC has the top spot tonight, and they could win on Sunday and still fall to #2.

Wolves were the #1 seed for more than 70% of the season. More weird that we have the best record and are not there.

If we beat the suns, the Kings beat the suns, and the Kings beat the Blazers on Sunday. The Kings will be the 7 seed for play in seeding. We scratch their back, they get blown out by us in round 1. Assuming we are the 2 seed. Otherwise if we are the 1 seed, then hopefully the Suns win tonight. God Damn, where did I put my spare crystal ball ;)

I have espn.com a big brother who is as basketball obsessed as I am, a father who cannot stop telling me how much we suck because we lost to Denver on Wednesday, and a cell phone with great internet. This is enough. :)

It makes absolutely no sense that wolves drop to 2 with a three way tie. But would be the 1 seed in every other scenario with a win Sun. Goofy head to head nonsense

NOP won a close one. SAC really mess up with two Fox turnovers to give the game to PHX. That is the worst scenario for Wolves. Going to get NOP or PHX in the first round.

Does phoenix rest Sunday, giving us 1 or 2 seed?

Maybe not.

1. Denver could tank the last game to avoid the Wolves. A Denver loss and a Wolves win gets us the one seed.

2. OKC could blow it against Dallas. Maybe someone gets hurt or they underestimate Dallas and THJ drops 50. You never know.

3. If we are the 2 seed the suns still need to beat the Kings or Lakers for the 7 seed.

4. You never know how Devin Booker’s ankle is doing after rolling it tonight. Yes he played on it, but if it swells up, he might not be 100% for us or the play in.

It's similar to the Wolves owning the head-to-head tiebreakers with both the Nuggets and Thunder, but still end up finishing 2nd if there is a three way tie.

The Wolves get the 1 seed if they win and either of the Nuggets or Thunder lose. The only way for the Wolves to fall to the 3 seed is if they lose and both the Nuggets and Thunder win.

6. 49-32 NOP
7. 48-33 PHX
8. 46-35 LAL
9. 45-36 SAC
10 45-36 GSW

PHX @ MIN: Suns have tie-breaker over NOP. They will compete hard to try to avoid the Play In, hoping NOP loses vs LAL

DEN @ MEM: MEM is locked into the 7th lottery spot, no reason to compete except for their fans. DEN hopes MIN or OKC loses, or else tanks the game to face OKC in semi’s.

DAL @ OKC: DAL is locked in as the #5 seed. LAC has the tiebreaker over DAL, so DAL can’t move up to #4. DAL has the tie-breaker over NOP, so they can’t fall to #6. No reason for them to compete, and rumor is they will rest their main starters.

Kyrie and Luka both were out tonight and will be again. I still think OKC could drop the ball and get caught unawares. I also think Denver might shut down all their injury report players in an ultimate “we don’t care about seeding” move. They focus on getting healthy, and conveniently avoid us until the WCF, assuming both teams even make it there. The bottom line is we need to play Sunday’s game like it is a play in game. We need to treat it like it is winner take all, because there are quite a few possibilities that could make it winner take all. For example, a loss could easily see us against the Pels in round 1. Whereas a win, could see Denver vs the Pels and that might tricky for Jokic and crew.

Pelicans vs Lakers is going to have major ramifications.

A pelicans win could knock the Suns out of the 6 and Lakers back into the 9-10 game.

Assuming both Den and OKC win:

We beat PHX, we get 2 and Pels gets 6, win or lose to Lakers. We play winner of 7 PHX and 8 LAL/SAC/GSW
We lose to PHX, Lakers beat Pels, then we get PHX in the 3-6 series.
We lose to PHX, Pels beat Lakers, then we get Pels in the 3-6 series.

Potential of Suns in the first round and Denver in the 2nd round not looking Ideal at all.
1 seed would mean likely LAL/SAC/GSW round one and DAL/LAC 2nd round.

Sacramento looks like the easiest first round opponent right now but we have not looked very good against them this year either.

If wither DEN or OKC lose on Sunday, we will end up with 1 seed if we win and 2 seed if we lose to PHX.

I think LA and GS will make it. The league would prob rather have Bron and Steph in the playoffs than KD. Especially for their swan song…

We’ll play GS, OKC v LA and Den v NO is my prediction

If Pels win, which is likely, and the Kings beat the Blazers, which is likely, then the Lakers are the 9 seed. Lakers play the Warriors in the 9 vs 10 game. It is a single elimination game, thus one of Steph or Lebron is going home. Meanwhile, it is easier said than done that one of those teams on the road will beat whoever is the home team, even with ref assistance.

Yeah I wasn’t really calculating anything so I’m not fully aware of the win loss stuff. Just a general thought assuming the lakers and phx stay in the 7/8 spots. I see La winning and then gs winning their two play in spots to get 8. Whether that can happen…didn’t really look.
