I can't see Monroe being a good defender at the 3 and a big part of his game is with his back to the basket. He's got some perimeter skills, but I don't think he's a small forward.

That will be the issue, before college he was considered a prospect that could translate to the SF. He is likely 6'9. If he can make the transition then he is a prospect we can consider. if he cannot then he is off the draft board.

1. Ricky Rubio
2. Blake Griffin
3. James Harden
4. Jrue Holiday
5. Hasheem Thabeet
6. Greg Monroe
7. Jeff Teague (2) Brandon Jennings (2), Aminu (6), Tyreke Evans (5) BJ Mullens (1)

Probably no way to defend a Mullens pick here - I am going with him a lot on hunch. He probably has the biggest potential upside 5 years from now, but could also be a miserable flop. He is currently nowhere near the player Curry, Jennings, Aminu, Evans, or Teague are.

this is a weird spot. I would likely lean to curry at this stage. I think he could be a valuable role player if not a bibby-like pg.

I would at least look for him here...he can be my vote.

After rev, it's

1. Ricky Rubio
2. Blake Griffin
3. James Harden
4. Jrue Holiday
5. Hasheem Thabeet
6. Greg Monroe
7. Jeff Teague (2) Brandon Jennings (2), Aminu (6), Tyreke Evans (6) BJ Mullens (1) Stephen Curry (1)

Maybe everyone who didn't vote for Aminu or Evans should vote for one of them, since they're the only ones left with a chance of winning.

Tough call at this point. For me it was betweem Aminu, Hill, Mullens, and Jennings and I reserve the right to change my mind for the next slot.

Just looking at the voting it makes me kinda sad that we have this number of draft picks in what looks to be like a crapshoot of a draft. We are all over the board on voting this year with these last few picks. I still want to vote for Danillo Galinari though...

Wow, after Rubio (who may not come out), Griffin, Harden, Thabeet and Monroe this is really a crap shoot. I think Holiday deserves to be the crap shoot portion simply we don't know if he has the athleticism and ball handling to be an NBA point because he's not playing one in college.

I guess at this point it's down to Aminu, Jennings or Teague for me; Turner needs to show me some range on his jumper to get into this discussion. Out of those three I have no idea. I guess I go Aminu purely because he's such a freak athlete that I hope he develops some more SF skills.

Is it wrong that at this stage in the draft I would draft Rubio. He is over 18 and we can draft is rights. Maybe we sit for a year or 2 before he comes over, but with as much of a wild card this draft is i will take Rubio with this pick if he is not "in" the draft.

Know what I mean?

Otherwise give me turner. He reminds me of Joe Johnson.

Rubio would have to declare. At a certain age, I believe 22, they're automatically in. Rubio's not there yet.

I'm loving rev's mancrush on Rubio, though.

Yeah, I don't think you can draft 'rights' anymore until the year after their high school class has graduated college.
