real nice deal at the current rate free agents are going, the salary is manageable and it's only for two years. Smith may not have played top 4 mins last year for the flyers but he did lead them in blocked shots and hits, something the sens could always use. As long as the team doesn't expect him to come in and lead the power play I think it'll be a great fit.

Emery apparently signed a deal to play in the continental league in russia, I guess that shows he either didn't have any offers, or all the other teams lowballed him with contract offers. I hope he can get his career and life in order, he had a great thing in Ottawa but he screwed it up
